  1. Islands (big & small, freshwater & ocean) Cause we all want to be on one!!
  2. Barns (a rare specimen and a dying breed of buildngs in today's world)
  3. to find the manager of the category, at the top of the category is a "managed by" link. Only the Sub-categories have managers....not the main category
  4. So how long does this take when a request is made (see above) ? *When you make a request for a new waymark category you do just that - Ask for a waymark category to be created and you become the manager.*
  5. caught! hope to provide a good one..... kawikaturn misprint hitched a ride....though i had left it in the cache. it was stuck to the udesignit. Congrats Dillion Gang on another UDesignit Card grab....who will be the next victim ?
  6. The big thing with the Waymarking site will be the ability to download or view these cateogries and finds without being overwhelmed. It would be nice to make it Palm/Paperless friendly.
  7. So to create a new waymark / category you must first propose it in this forum first? Can I propose the following: - Wayside Rest Areas (we all need to know where these are!) - Barns (a rare specimen and a dying breed of buildngs in today's world) - Islands (big & small, freshwater & ocean) - Gas Stations (important for those caching in remote or unfamiliar areas)
  8. Yes I understand that anybody that moves thier locationless to the new site will have thier locationless archived immediatley, and anybody that doesn't will have it archived in Jan. '06. This was on the waypoint page: What happens to all the old locationless caches? If you are a Premium Member and own a locationless geocache, we invite you to create a category on Waymarking.com. Once you have created your category we ask that you archive the geocaching.com listing to avoid confusion. Should you decide not to create a new category, your locationless cache listing will be grandfathered and remain as it is until you decide to archive it. No future locationless caches will be listed on the geocaching.com website. What about virtual caches? No new virtual geocaches will be listed on Geocaching.com, but if there is a suitable category for submitting your location on Waymarking.com, please feel free to submit a new waymark. If you are a Premium Member and no category exists, you can create a new category for posting your waymark.
  9. So it looks like EVERYTHING in the world will now have their own set of coordinates.....McDonalds, manhole covers, a flower, lightpole, porta-potties.......seems a bid ridiculous.

  11. So how long is the UDesignit Card going to sit in the wild before it is picked up?...not much of a race.
  12. Is that what the yoots in Jersey call Duluth?! I lived up 'der up freezing my you know what off for many years. Heck TT it was the Norwegians that were telling all these jokes! I can't tell the best jokes on this forum.... Anyhow, here's another one clean enough for this forum: Ole died. So Lena went to the local paper to put a notice in the obituaries. The gentleman at the counter, after offering his condolences, asked Lena what she would like to say about Ole. Lena replied, "You yust put 'Ole died'." The gentleman, somewhat perplexed, said, "That's it? Just 'Ole died?' Surely, there must be something more you'd like to say about Ole. If its money you're concerned about, the first five words are free. We must say something more." So Lena pondered for a few minutes and finally said, "O.K. You put 'Ole died. Boat for sale.' " I spent four years up in Duluth, MN......and I was here for this ! COLDEST TEMP EVER RECORDED for MN BTW: I'll pass on the Lutefisk but I'll take the pizza at Sven & Ole's

  17. Post #4995 I was just afraid this request for assistance was going to get pushed aside because of all the other exciting things happing out there right now. I would hate to see that happen. I myself cannot help out, But I know there are many great caches in PS, and it's possible to do 150+ in a weekend. Anybody care to add to that? Swimming holes? My recommendation.....Spa Resort Casino
  18. Stopped by Max's Favorite Park after work and grabbed the new #20 princess toadstool and one of those "dark side" errors Also, nabbed a #10 pqcachers, not sure I had it or not but if I do I'll drop it into a cache. Thanks Flagman.
  19. Ruscal was FTF for all 26 Sea to Sea Caches. A little while later, "Swiss Hunter" and Team Gecko also completed the series on 13 July 2003 (independently - I never met SH then or since; just saw his logs in the field and online). Kristin mailed out nice little "official" certificates of completion. The most physically challenging were #1 followed by #2. Since the El Cajon Mountain Open Space remains closed, no one really knows if #1 survived the fire. It might have because it had some protection from large boulders. -GD Sea to Sea #3 Commuter Cache is now missing...the container that is. Came across all of the contents and a wet log book, it appears the thief wanted the nice container and nothing else.
  20. Now online at: http://www.ramonajournal.com/news/2005/080...munity/024.html
  21. Nice!...but no. No logs from mark71mark since 03' and he still holds a Moun10Bike Coin he claimed back in '02.
