  1. I don't even know what to call it(drink bottle holder thing). Probably cost $1, has a rubber thing that slips over bottle top(water, coke, pop, soda, whatever) and a carabiner to hook on a belt loop or ??? Most valuable one yet b/c I use it daily.
  2. no purdy map or nothin' but, Arkansas Oklahoma Missouri Tennessee Mississippi uh 5, and I counted them all on one hand.
  3. Myself and another have a friendly competition going, but nothing SERIOUS. I will let a FTF go if I just "don't want to go right now." Most times I try to beat him just to say I did, and he usually does the same. Would you believe I don't even know which caches I was FTF on? That part doesn't really make a differance to me, but the gloat facter with my friend does.
  4. city, uh, i mean country! oh heck, i do them all if there's no one around to watch me look suspicious. though i tend to like small town or country caches best
  5. My quick remedy is to jump in my freshly chlorinated pool. Swim for more than just a few minutes though to be sure they get a good dose of chlorine. The itching stops and they go away after just a couple of days. You could also use straight bleach but it burns more.(military teachings) Mine are gone after only 3 days and they only itched the first day. Nail polish REMOVER(contains acetone) also works. Burns like helk but it works.
  6. Here's mine http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...10-d5aae19ced75 . It's been out for 8 months, has had 116 visits, 53 tb's moved through it, and is on 3 bookmark lists. It is a rest area accessable from either direction on I-40. It is also about half-way between I-30(Little Rock,AR) and I-55(Memphis,Tn). The best part, NO RULES!!!
  7. Someone please close this thread. Personally I'm tired of seeing it at the top. Yeah, yeah, they goofed. BIG DEAL!!! Go play the game your way. By the way, opinions are like a--holes. Everbody has one and they all usually stink.
  8. Uh...YEAH! I own a '72 Plymouth Scamp. A Duster would be a nice addition to the family. No matter the condition.
  9. We will be going to Branson in a couple of weeks. We being me, the wife, daughter(12), and son(8). I would like a list of caches to do along the way. Our route will be; north to Jonesboro then on 63 to Hardy. From there I am still undecided as to which way to go. We could go on 62 to Harrison, up 65 to Branson or up 63 to W Plains, across 160 to Branson. Although, I've never made the trip across 160 I am willing too, if the trip is worth it. The caches on either route will determine our path. Planning a trip when the wife actually WANTS to cache is difficult to say the least. I want this one to be a good caching trip for us all, so maybe she will go more often. Thanks in advance!
  10. Making a trip to Branson in a couple of weeks. The wife and kids(12 and 8) asked if we were going to cache while there. Well, CERTAINLY!!! So.. are there any MUST DO caches? I would like to have a good to do list while there. Gonna hit a few shows, possibly Silverdollar City, and ??? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  11. Well...that is exactly what I needed. Thanks!
  12. My maps are gone!! I have given up on Magellan and their non-existant customer service. I can only stay on hold for so long after all! I have a Magellan Sportrak pro with pc cable also. Is there a way to connect the pc cable to my explorist 200 so I can get my maps back and where do I get them if so? Thanks in advance for ANY help. Any help at all is more than I've gotten from Magellan!
  13. Sometimes, we actually find one to complete a set! Ralph the bug robot from Spy Kids was not easily completed. We lacked the glasses and luckily they were in a cache. Now my son can play with a complete toy. So..I welcome them. Now to find that last beanie baby, hotwheels car, barbie, ............
  14. not exactly WHILE caching but... the cache is located across the street from my house and it was almost taken by a tornado on 4-2-06. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...d6-d4af2aac83c9 (pic in log) by the way, Combine is the owner of this cache . he and his family lost everthing in this torando. it destroyed his entire farm shop and all but 3 tractors(which were parked at other locations). his parents house was severely damaged. it will probably be counted as total loss also. i took alot of pictures of the storm(from my front porch) and after it passed. they are at the following link. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/fuzzyz71/alb...m/ph//my_photos they are all unharmed and taking it all very well.
  15. i, too picked one up. after my 5th try at logging it, i finally got it logged. then when i dropped it i couldn't get it to drop so, it still shows that i have it. the site kept taking me back to the page i was on (log page i guess) never would accept the log. i gave up and i guess no one else got it to work either b/c i haven't seen any other logs for it.
  16. I realize that these are open forums, but what you said is just plain rude. I really don't appreciate it. I am trying to offer something that the general geocaching community might be interested in. If you don't like them, you don't have to buy them. Ease up on him a bit, he does have a point. The jeeps are built fairly well, especially the frames. I have yet to bend one or yank off a Jeep bumper when I pull them out with my Tacoma. that's just too funny!
  17. right now, just these four: Arkansas- home state Tennessee- just across the line Mississippi- again just across the line Oklahoma- family visits Missouri is soon to be added- vacation Darn! My caching buddy needs to get the plane fixed!
  18. I called everyday for the past week. Alot of good it did me, I sat on hold everyday for atleast an hour or longer each time and never got a human on the phone. I've decided to bombard them with e-mails. I've sent emails (with links to forums like these) to each of the locations listed here: http://www.magellangps.com/en/about/locations.asp Eventually they have to open thier eyes. Maybe?!
  19. haven't lost my phone ..yet. but i did once lose my keys while out caching on 4-wheelers. when we got back to the truck to load up..ahhhh... no keys. searched for a bit but we just rode around too much. i called the wife (on the phone i haven't lost yet) to bring me the spare set of keys and boy was she unhappy. we were an hour and a half from home and she had to bring them to a place she had never been, with no clue how to get there. needless to say there are now 2 sets of keys with me always. i also lost my gpsr while doing a cache on an island in the middle of the spring river. well actually before the cache. we canoed over a small waterfall and rolled. everthing went floating downstream but my gpsr just sank like a rock. after we chased everything down i realized it was gone too, so i waded back up to the rollover site and there it was under 5 feet of water. it was still on and had reception so we continued on to the cache. maybe one of these days i'll get lucky and lose my phone..'til then...........
  20. tried it. didn't work. i've tried calling a couple of times... no answer.
  21. Any Magellan experts out there? My explorist has this message on screen : UNIT CURRENTLY CONTAINS NO MAP! INITIATING MAP UPLOAD. I don't know exactly what happened to it but, I don't think I did anything wrong. While caching I put it in my pocket then when I pulled it out it had a message about "burn-in test" or something like that. I left it alone(since I have a sportrak pro also) and looked at it later only to see the above message. Now it won't do anything but display that message. I have put in a request for support on Magellans website(March 12) with no answer yet. I thought they would respond quicker than this but no...so I'm asking here. ANY help is welcomed. Thanks.
