  1. i got it. it sucked. i found the tick after a festival in maine. pulled it off and didnt think twice about it. never got a rash until after the headaches came along with dizzy spells and fever. i had a constant headache for 2 weeks and the dizziness and fevers came and went. went to the doctor and they said lymes. got blood work done. "well i could be lymes OR mono we arent sure" got more blood work done. "its lymes AND mono". sweet!! yea no. anyway the mono never affected me which im glad. they gave me antibiotics just as the red splotches began appearing all over my body. those quicly went away and i got better. i still get occasional dizzy spells, and i never attributed it to the lymes but as someone metioned above i have a higher sensitivity to light. (i never wore sunglasses before) anyway. one thing i dont know what they will give you for antibiotics. but the ones i had said dont expose yourself to long periods of sun. let me tell you ive had some bad sun burns but that was magnified incredibly. hope you fare well and dont have to go through all the crappy stuff. peace, bob
  2. not sure what you mean by illegal activity. the kkk is a perfectly legal private organization. they have every right to meet. not at all nice but legal. anyway how long ago was this? i really would not worry about it much myself, unless you know of illegal klan activity in the area(ie. vandalism, beatings). the only problem should be the whole private property issue. there is no doubt you should give the warning but if anything i think it would make the cache more enticing. like i said it depends on the area and level of activity. if you visit the kkk website you can learn more about them and realize that they have toned it down abit since the 1860 and 1960. now i am in no way supporting their activity or beleifs but nowadays i dont think the klan should be seen as a physical threat. even the biggest white supremesist bigot knows he'll be caught if he goes an lynches someone. way out in the woods or not. peace, bob
  3. for me it has replaced much of my idle time between work and school and unfortunatly taken more than that. i need to work on my time managment. peace, bob
  4. lctrumpet i saw you in that issue. pretty chillin. anyway im and eagle scout from troop 15 warwick, rhode island. i made eagle two years ago and i am right now an assistant scoutmaster. i love the program and plan to stay active for a long time. my father the current scoutmaster and i got each other gps' for christmas. we didnt talk about it at all to each other so it was quite amusing. anyway one of the fathers of a new scout found out we both got these for christmas. he had recently bought one himself. he found gc.com in a search and let us know about it. right now our tiny troop of 10 boys is fully sucked into geocaching. and its become a slight competition between the adults who has the most finds. not that that really matters to me i just like finding them, but i think some small friendly comp. is good. like i said though the whole troops loves it and it help to motivate the boys for hikes and such, most of which really need it. peace, bob
  5. i own one. its great i love the looks i get from people. usually ignorant people who make it obvious they are talking about me. then they begin to look nervous when i just give them a calm long stare right in thier eyes. anyway im 19 and the girls my age love it. some think its wierd but they all want to know if rumor its true. thanks for the links above. utilikilts was the cheapest i could find that looked decent quality. i want a woven tarten kilt. i unfortunatly dont have about 300 bills to drop on a clothing item. i like it. i tell my friends that real men wear kilts and they dont seem to dissagree but like most things they arnt for everyone. peace, bob
  6. haha auntie weasel is right i read a log of hers and agreed exactly " oh! that seven foot stump." peace, bob
  7. i play paintball and in doing so i accuired the name "sniper bob" because of my well hiding and shooting skills. this name was changed over time by a rather burt-out friend to "sniper carl" and them "sniper maurice". well maurice stuck. many people know me only as maurice nothing else. i liked the name. then one day i was sitting on the john reader an Uncle Johns Bathroom Reader (look it up) and i came across some interesting stories and facts about Butch Cassidy and The Sundace Kid. well it turns out the Butch Cassidy was born Robert Leroy Cassidy. Robert Leroy Blackmer is my own name. so in true bohemian fashion i renamed myself (not officially) and adopted Butch's last name and took on my nick name of mauirce. Maurice Leroy Cassidy this is my alias and the name i use for all my new online accounts. i dont forsee a problem with somone already having this name. peac, bob
  8. haha thats a great thread. i will forever be in search of geo-bootynuggets. peace, bob
  9. haha yea. i thought that was great too. i just wish it wasnt there. i thought it was a good site for an easy, large, cache. awell ill find a new spot nearby (once this wretched white stuff melts)and all will be good. peace, bob
  10. for my first cache "The Brim Shack"(temp dissabled) i feel i placed some good stuff (original contents posted) and once i replace it i place to stock it regularly. i hust looked around my room for somethings that i had collected over the years and i didnt really need anymore. i even placed some free movie passes. anyway in comparison to some other hobbies i have (ie. paintball, scouting) this one i find to be pretty cheap. peace, bob
