  1. on the other Civil War coins topic, Rusty has come forth and stated they were having a problem with the activation codes, and if you would send him an email, he will email you the activation codes. I did it and it took him less than a couple of hours and my coins are activated. Thanks to prntr1 for producing an affordable coin and not trying to gouge cachers by selling these coins at inflated prices as some ebayers do. tdecell
  2. I've got some Mississippi coins I'll trade you!!
  3. Just got off the phone with prntr1, If you bought coins 1 and 2, you will recieve an email when the next coins will go on sale. He will be back in town tomorrow afternoon, so if you have sent him a email, he will get back to you soon... tdecell
  4. Thank you Rusty for getting me the activation #'s, the coins look great and the icon is sharp!!! Can't wait for the rest of the series.
  5. What he said prntr1 already left to go out of town, I'll probably talk to him tonight / tomorrow, will get you an answer...
  6. We were searching for a micro in downtown Chicago at night in the rain when we saw a policeman walking towards us, as we were trying to act like we weren't doing anything suspicious, he said without even slowing down as he walked past, "if you are looking for that thing, it's under the trash can". He was right....
  7. Coin #1 sounds good as is Coin #2, 1. maybe ask cachers to take to events 2. put in a t/b hotel and ask that it stay there and everyone log it out and back in, leaving the physical coin in the cache
  8. 2 Police Geocaching Squad Civil War geocoins (not in my mailbox, just got back from prntr1's house, helping pack coins!!)
  9. While going through the Mississippi coins I found one that ended in the same 4 #'s as a local radio station's call numbers where a cacher works as a DJ, I gave the coin to her. I've also got one that ends in DEW, isn't there a cacher whose avatar is something to do with Mt Dew?
  10. www.civilwargeocoins.com try that, Prntr1 has set up a webpage for them! There are pictures of the first 10 coins
  11. I use a Palm Zire 22, haven't found anything to dislike yet, way more memory than I'll ever need, very inexpensive too
  12. 2 very nice Louisiana!!! Thanks LSUFan!!
  13. I would love to have a new avatar, but am graphically challenged. I would like it to include my GC nick- tdecell, I was thinking of having the lower case t being made into a fishhook cause I like to fish, I geocache with a Magellan Meridain Marine, I like the GC 4 colors, use your imagination and I thank you in advance. tdecell <*(((><
  14. So if it's a TEXAS coin, wouldn't it still be large even if it was a "mini"....... I'm down for a couple.
  15. Thanks Robert I thought I had "cut back" until I read your post and realized I haven't really cut back... I'm not buying every coin that comes out (which is more now than it used to be) but I'm not really buying any less, just not all of them! And I thought I was on the road to recovery, I guess I'm just coming up on the exit!
  16. I thought I was in the minority, but after reading this, it looks as if it's a split.... I would rather see the coins in the cache, not a cardboard facsimile. I say put a note with the coin explaining your intentions on having the coin move and let it go, if it moves, great, if it gets stolen, oh well..... try again just my .02
  17. I don't think I'm cured, but on the road to recovery... I'm very selective about which coins I buy, I'll look at them 3 or 4 times before I finally make up my mind. It really has to strike my fancy for me to buy it. I've been doing more trading than buying lately (which makes my wife alot happier also) There is hope...
  18. I'll enter in with a MS coin!
