  1. This has probobly been talked about before, but why doesn't the weekly email notification show you caches that have been archived. There have been a couple of times that I have been looking for caches that have been archived, that I haven't noticed.
  2. I use a Zire 71, and nothing can beat it for geocaching. I can do paperless caching, and then take pictures with it along the way.

I use a Plam Zire 71 for caching. I just copy and paste the cache information into Palm Desktop and sync it, and I have all the information I need. I also take pictures with my palm. It is a great model for geocaching.
  4. I've had the Zire 71 for a couple of years before I started geocaching, and when I did, it turned out to be such a worth while investment for the hobby. I can do paperless geocaching, and take pictures all in the same unit. Does anyone else use this for geocaching?
  5. That exact thing happened to me. I found all of the caches in the park, so I went hiking around looking for places to hide one. I spotted a hollow tree, which was a perfect hiding spot for a cache, and went up to it, and saw that there was an ammo box in it. The cache wasnt found for a long time. I went home and found that it was the final part of a multi, and the first part went missing, and they didnt get around to replacing it.

I am 15, too bad I can't drive to all of the caches yet.
  7. I wanted to place a cache in a certain area, but it was too close to another one, so I moved it to another similar spot, but then the reviewer emailed me saying that the other cache was archived. Does this mean I can put the cahe back where I wanted to at first? What exactly does archived mean?
  8. I just placed my first cache yesterday, and this is what I used. Log Sheet: http://www.socalgeocachers.com/modules.php..._op=MostPopular You can do a search in google, and find a lot of different options for log sheets, and geocache information sheets.
  9. My history teacher was telling the class about him self, and he told us about geocaching. He passed his gps around, and soon enough, I was out looking for caches.
  10. I just started geocaching, and i bought a magellan explorist 200 at costco for $130. I think this is a great gps, but I dont have any thing to compare it to. It puts me right on top of the geocaches. The only thing some people dont like about it is that it doesnt hook up to a computer. I dont mind this though, because i like to read over the info about it so i know what i am looking for any way. Andrew546
  11. I fly fish, fly tie, trap shoot, and fly rc planes. Andrew
