  1. Are you sure you are talking about me? I just tend to post stupid comments that make no sense to the overall commentary, and get bashed for them. I cant recall any time I bashed anyone in particular, I bash things I see about the game I disagree with, but generaly by the end of the thread you all have convinced me why those things happen, and what I can do to make them better. and as far as my caches, how did you know? Have you found them? I thought I hid them better than that because i used my smartphone, so the coordinantes would be roughly 430 ft off.
  2. i always put trash in caches, course my trash is better than most peoples new swag.
  3. I dont respect forum members? When have I ever bashed anyone on here?
  4. thanks! and in 17,000 posts you have never done something of the same?
  5. awww come on that was at least a little bit funny.
  6. and how's that working out for ya. not too bad, not too bad at all.
  7. so... has anyone been able to use their automobile gps to find and hide caches?
  8. so... garmin has a new smartphone, has anyone tried it to see how accurate it is? this might end the smartphones cant be real gps's argument.
  9. Yeah i figure one of these days Im gonna get punched, but eh... story of my life.
  10. awww I love you too dog with glasses
  11. I do it for the women, there are tons of opportunities to meet women, right dorque?
  12. you can hide caches wherever you want, they just dont always get published if they dont play by the rules
  13. Did you guys miss me? Keystone gave me a weeks vacation free of charge! Thanks keystone! I bought you all t-shirts, well sort of bought, ok I dumpsterdove you all t-shirts, they arnt even that dirty! So I spent my time off doing things I needed to get done, including hiding some caches, when people find your caches and leave you lovely journal entries, do you write them back or do you just leave it at that? Ive had some really good entries, and I wanted to thank the people fo rthem, but I wasnt sure... I also ran into a fellow geocacher, found out he stole my polar bear, thats ok, cause i scared he crap out of him. ha! so now were even. I also bought a used gps, havent tried it much, its really finiky, its a magellen 300, pretty old school, I dont know if it even works, since comparing it to my smartphone, my smartphone has been blowing it out of the water. Has anyone had any experience with this model? should I trash it?
  14. Describe how you would determine the person with the bad heart who is using 'caching as part of their recovery? Well obviously jumping out at older people, people with obvious disabilities, or people with children or animal is a terrible idea, single people is also a bad idea, single women would be the worst. they have enough stuff to worry about being alone at night. what does that leave? well the only catagory that would enjoy or be at least ok with me jumping out and scaring them would be a group of teens, or 20somethings, or a whole slew of ftf'ers which i was counting on, since they descended upon all my other finds, i could jump out and scare them, and it would most likely end in civil manners. or start a prank war which could be fun as well.
  15. this cache IS out in the open, wide open, seriously. p.s. ive filmed two movies in winter garden in the past year with my school, one was a zombie movie, were you around for that? ill be up there again the 8th i think to film another one we should meet up.
  16. the android phone has great geocaching tools, ive been using the "GPS Test" app to hide my finds, because it tells me how many satilites its able to see, what their signal strength is, how many ft i am accurate within, (which can vary from 9ft to 50ft in most urban settings,) if you let your phone settle for a few minutes you can generally get a decent reading of like 14ft, or so which i think is pretty accurate for a smartphone. course im in the market now for a REAL gps, to hide, since 9 - 50ft is not acceptable in my opinion, and i want to make my hides accurate, (especially since its almost never closer to 9ft, and almost always closer to like 30ft, as far as hunting caches on the droid, apart from the "still in testing" official app from Groundspeak, theres really only one app that works very well, on a consistent basis. course you wont find it on here, since its not allowed. but if you are only using your phone for a month or so theres the trial app for GEOOH which is a great app, but the trial lasts only 30 days, after that it no longer works, or you could pay like $10 for it, which might be a monthly or 3 month thing.
  17. not to mention the kids will most assuredly find your cache and take it home with them, or destroy it within days of you planting it, guaranteed, kids find everything
  18. And what do these have to do with caching? The thread is about cool cache containers. how do you know they are not cache containers?
  19. does anyone else have insomnia, and take to geocaching really late (or early) at night to tire you out so you can get some sleep?
  20. Im curious as to if there are any blind or visually impaired cachers who frequent the forums.... (yes they can access, and participate in forums, before anyone makes a statement they would regret) I was just wondering what your experiences have been, and how you feel about the sport, what you like, what you dislike and what we as not visually, but mentally impaired can do to make caching more accessible to you. Maybe we could impliment some sort of audible tour, or something like that, which guides you and gives descriptions of the terrain you are visiting, and what we wanted you to see while you were there. what sort of cache would this be? also im sure blind or v.i. people have some serious geosenses, or at least a knack for finding things in ways other people have not thought of, it would be very interesting to learn some of your tips and tricks,
  21. really this topic should be.... what do you reward yourself with after a hard days work geocaching.
  22. the one on the right is the spittin image of my uncle.
