  1. Get on to the Twitter account (@bestbuyuk) or the Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/#!/uk.bestbuy - run by some very nice guys who might help
  2. One of the most favourited London caches, http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=23dfe719-f8a0-450a-8503-f449ffdbfe3c, is a plastic bag with a scrap of paper inside. Personally, I didn't care for it as it would have been possible to get a 35mm canister somewhere but it doesn't seem to put people off.
  3. This year I'll be celebrating the 3rd anniversary of my 29th birthday.
  4. Yes you can, and here's a response from Jeremy (Chief Lackey wrangler at Groundspeak) explaining that they have deliberately left a back door just for people like you. I can't remember how you do it ATM, but if you search the forums it's not too difficult to find, and in any case I expect someone will be along soon with the detail. Edit to add: Just go to http://geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?WP=GCxxxxx substituting the real GC code for GCxxxxx and you can log it, it may be polite to explain in your log that you're not a PM but were caching with a PM when you found it. What a star - thank you! It never even occurred to me to look for anything like that.
  5. Going out caching with Miyagawa and realising the cache we just found together is a premium so I can't log it. *facepalm*
  6. I looked at your cache page. Very impressive. How did you get permission to hide a large cache in there?! Ah, it's all about who you know
  7. Thanks guys for all the advice. There's nothing wrong with the question - it's just reading information that is on display. I think people aren't always finding the information but part of the fun is in the looking, and the cache in question is a difficulty 3 I do like the idea of a check sum though and I'd definitely consider that if I ever do anything like this again.
  8. Thanks everyone, I'll leave it then! The person who was guessing numbers didn't get far anyway - they had another number wrong. I think it's just because the cache is new and I'm a relatively new cacher that I get a bit possessive.
  9. I have a new multi/puzzle cache for which I put a Geochecker on, as I know personally I like to be able to make sure I'm correct before I go traipsing out to find a stage of a cache. However, I've found that on one of the trickier answers, people clearly aren't finding the information and are just guessing the number from 1 till it's correct. It really makes me want to take the checker down. What do you more experienced people think? Thanks!
  10. I just got one published where the final is inside but it's not straightforward - get in touch if you want tips!
  11. I spent a lot of time looking for one that ended up not being there (and was subsequently archived) that was behind one of those public loos that cost 20p to enter. In theory that shouldn't have mattered but I think generally people couldn't be bothered to pay the 20p when they could just go against the wall. You know, the wall with the cache in it. Blech.
