  1. That's interesting. I just purchased a Monster CarChargeit device which has interchangeable tips for different devices. The Motorola Razr and the Blackberry both use the mini USB connector, however Monster sells two different tips for these devices. So I have someone saying they use a Razr charger, and you are using a Blackberry charger. I have the tip for both, but I am waiting for confirmation on which tip to use from Monster. If I don't hear from them I will just use the Blackberry one. Thanks
  2. Yes, I saw a post that it was bundled with the USB GPS, and I am trying to find that at Target just for the software. Thanks a bunch everyone.
  3. Great!! That's what I thought, but just wanted to make sure so as not to burn up my new toy. Thanks a bunch.
  4. Okay, I would like to get a power cable for my new Legend C. Does anyone know if the Monster IGo car adapter with a USB Itip will work on this guy. It looks like it is just a standard mini usb connector on it. Thanks I can get on of these much cheaper than the Garmin, or even Ebay knockoffs thanks to another Target clearance deal.
  5. Yes, the legend C color unit. It was in a back area at a local Target, normally $199 clearanced at $99. I have been playing with it since deciding to keep it. I like the color display and small size. I wish it came with more detailed maps. I'd like to get some more detailed maps, but really don't want to pay more for the stupid CD's then I did for the unit. Any good suggestions on where to find reputable used software, or is there other options than Garmin for downloading maps?
  6. Okay, so I just picked up an eTrex Legend C Journey pack from my Target on clearance for $99. Before I go and open it can someone tell me the pros and cons of this unit. It came with the Trip and Waypoint manager software, but not Mapsource. It also came with a USB cable and a hip holster. Why would I want to keep it, or are there strong reasons to get a better one. We are casual Geocachers, but our current Cobra though it works beautiully doesn't allow us to download waypoints, we have to enter them manually. Other than that we love it, especially the downloadable maps and large screen. Thanks
  7. Well I bought it for $80 after MIR and I am quite happy with it. Yes I can't download waypoints into it (yet) and have to enter them manually, oh well. It gets me to the cache, it tracks well, the display is big, and it was $80 after mail in rebate, and it includes maps and a 32Mb SD card. Now if I can just find the protocol they use to download waypoints.
  8. I can pick up a Cobra 1000 DLX with mapping software, brand new for $149. Is this a decent deal for geocaching. Currently we are using a very old Eagle Expedition II, no mapping capability, crude graphics etc. We want a mapping capable one, and this comes with the software, albeit I have heard it is not the best, but I hear there are workarounds for that. Please valid criticism only, not just the "Brand X Sucks" type of stuff, tell me why it sucks if it does. Also if possible lets stick to the 1000, I know that the 500 is generally disliked, unless it is relevant to the 1000 as well. Thanks very much Fire Dragons
