  3. Hey, whats an old Navy man doing in the mountains anyway? I was Navy and from a Navy Family, I'm in Fl. I had two Cancer surgeries in '06, Glad to hear you are doing better. A cache dedicated to you would have been published. This one will also I'm sure, it's just a matter of wording that can be worked out. Get out when you can and enjoy the hunt! Good Luck!
  4. Mark the 1st as FTF and Tell the beta tester to sign a few lines down.
  5. The Perriwinkle Mobile Home Park once concealed a Meth Lab. It has now been coverted to the production of Chemical X.
  6. Get a LARGE roll of TP and carry on, the fun is just starting!
  7. I'm sure glad my urban ammo box caches aren't in Boston, they'd really freak out.
  8. Why don't you just work with in the system instead of trying to find ways to get your disappoved cache out there. The guidlines exist for good reasons, please stick to them, I'm sure you can place good caches in good locastion.
  9. Caching as a first date? Yeah! I did that not to long ago and this week we placed our first joint cache together at her suggestion. (no, there wasn't any joints in it). She had never heard of geocaching before we met on Match.com. When she asked about things I like to do I mentioned caching amoung a few others. She asked what that was, I told her, She said that sounds like fun, I said Do you want to go, We went! She signed up for an acct. that night after she got home. I took her to a park where I have a bunch of caches, which I knew were in good shape. When I got up the next morning it was really neat and unexpected to get OWNER e-mails with her logs. Yeah, that was a great first date! Think She liked it? I think so. Think she's a Keeper? I think so! BTW....For the "KIDS" out there shes 54 and I'm 59. Which is just to say that no matter what your age Caching can be a great first date.
  10. I've heard it called a RASH, here in the forums......Recreational Activity, Sport, Hobby!
  11. It's worth 3 bucks a month to surport GC.com even if you didn't get Pm benifits. Go for it, you won't regret it. You can download 500 caches direct to your GPS, the Pda just makes it all paperless, that is the way to go!
  12. Please remember that the Bomb Sq. will think twice before blowing up a lamp post, those lamp post owners are a grabby bunch! And I'd like to know, what's with all these lamps posts hanging around parking lots just waitting to have their skirts lifted!
  13. The place you mention doesn't place the caches there, real live cachers do. In fact a well known and lovely cacher near your part of the coast placed and named the first one. Many of us enjoy these caches and have a laugh about them from time to time, no harm done. There are caches at two of my local Walgreens, at least one was placed with permission of management. There are many, many caches in very public places including many newspaper boxes. Relax and enjoy the game.
  14. Can I get an english translation, OOPS.. that was english....
  15. I do it occasioaly, I always do it when I see a new cacher DNF one of mine. In several cases this has thr encouragement and contact has kept them in caching.
  16. "double dead" "Counties Collide" "I'm from the Government and I'm here to help you!" "Floriduh roads" "Meet me at the County Line" "Boundry Boondoggle" "Never the twain shall meet" "Two lane Interuptus" Isn't naming caches fun!
  17. I have used the new type and they are excellent I have a couple that are out in in very wet area for about 8 months with out any problems. If anyone has some they don't need, I could use them!
  18. I would guess thats an example of the cache that you said was a piece of crap and you are right, just not very nice about it.
  19. You mentioned South Florida aways back. The federal & State gov. has mandated that large areas be returned to more natural setting, such as uncanalizing rivers, stopping drainage of the everglades, not allowing new salt water canals, buying up large areas of land to forever remain undeveloped, and puting large areas of underwater lands under federal control. Just to name a few South Florida things that are going on. You might want to concieder that what happended to much of the east coast before you deciede that all wilderness designation is problematic. I would gladly see Miami returned to Panther habitat than see whats there now. Miles and miles of blacktop bordered by housing subdivisions. I can of course understand your feelings of lose, but I don't really believe Montana is running out of places to camp or cache.
  20. Why not go with the wilderness and work to have the NO CACHING RULE changed? Or is there another agenda here?
  21. After comparing times with others, move in with the one who gets it first!
