  1. I apologize for being late getting this marked as SOLD.
  2. I recently replaced my 60csx with a newer version. It still works perfectly, but has fallen a little behind in the advancement of technology. It has a Colorado TOPO microchip included. Entering coordinates must be typed in by hand, rather than being downloadable from a computer, which is what I have always done. Not a big deal. I would take $50 for this unit, if someone is looking for a good way to get in the game for very little money. All the original paperwork, manual, cable, etc are included, but you have to supply your own batteries. If interested, reply to this e-mail and let me know.
  3. Wow, thanks for the rapid replies from both of you!
  4. Thanks barefootjeff! Got it done. Still trying to get up to speed after 6 years.
  5. I originally placed my cache "Survive the Climb" in 2012. From 2014 to a month ago, I have not been able to check on my cache due to health issues. It has not yet been visited this year, but I was able to check on it today. It was in perfect shape, which really surprised me, after so long. Would it be permissible or advisable to log on my own cache advising that it was in great shape with plenty of swag in great shape?
  6. Thanks for clearing this up and letting me know the reason so I don't have to believe my old brain is COMPLETELY shot! As "they" say, it doesn't have to make sense, it's just the law!
  7. Many thanks TmdAndGG and cerberus1. I knew there was a place(s) to find the info, as I have used them in the past, I just couldn't recall where to find them. Thanks again. I added the sites to my Bookmarks so I would not lose them again. I have always wondered why there is not an easy link from the home page. Even after finding the sites from your links posted here, my "computer foo" is apparently not good enough to find a link to them on the Home page. Sure seems like it would be helpful.
  8. I just returned after a long hiatus. I know there used to be a place that listed all the acronyms used when posting, but I absolutely can't go back to it. I'm sure the answer is here somewhere, but there are just too many threads to go through individually. Thanks for any help.
  9. Wow, talk about immediate and helpful replies!! You have been extremely helpful (a PICTURE even). Thank you VERY MUCH.
  10. I just started using a hand held GPS (I have used aviation GPS units for several years), and sometimes it is definitely not advantageous to carry the unit in my hand. What are some good ways to pack the unit, while still allowing it to track satellites? I am using a Garmin eTrex Vista. In what position is the antenna best able to track satellites? Vertical, horizontal?
