I am just starting geocaching and want to get my kids involved. What would be better as a beginner option....Geomate Jr. or Garmin Etrex. I can get either for around the same price. I kind of like the idea of the Geomate having the caches already on there, but don't know if the Garmin Etrex works better. Any input would be appreciated!!

Is the Geomate still available? What state are you in?

New to Geocaching...we have been trying to do it with just using google earth and trying to "find" the cache. We have been able to find one, but obviously would have much more luck with a GPS or a Geomate. Looking to buy a used Gps or a Geomate. We have a family with four kids so we don't have much to spend but interested in seeing what is out there that is used....
