Hello Lisa If Vivien is part of the Roving Rangies, she is responsible for a few caches herself - some of which are peculiarly tricky If you're looking for really hard ones, I can suggest Shrivenham Stumper or Endeavour to Communicate both of which are very hard. I've done Endeavour but I'm completely stumped by the other one On the other hand, all my caches are very interesting and well worth a visit There's loads of caches round here - 63 within 10 miles of Rodbourne - so I think you'll be all right for a while. With many thanks to rutson, I've now narrowed the problem down to a group of caches between 9 - 10 miles away from me - I can get caches up to 9 miles and from 10 - 50 miles, but something within the group shown is causing the export to fail. Does anyone have any ideas ? Thanks civilised

Thanks for the fast reply. There isn't a line 6434 in babel.gpx - at leat there isn't when I load it into GSAK - it only goes up to line 2164. I'm now not getting the .csv file either - so I can't email it to you civilised

Replaced the old icons with LordElph's lovely new ones - and I've broken the custom export function. I get this error message - I've tried going back to the old icons but same problem. Any help gratefully received. Thanks civilised

Thanks for the replies melmur & Moote. I take your point about the codes being useful - but I prefer just to have the cache names as it looks neater. I'll try Moote's suggestion and see how I get on. Thanks again civilised

I'm having some problems with this export. I used it very successfully for over a year - but a hard drive died earlier this month, taking with it the set up I had previously used. I set it up again, but now when I export to Memory Map, I have the same functionality ( which is great ) but now each cache name is preceded by letters such as TRKAJ7. Can anyone help me as to what these letters are, and more importantly, can I get rid of them ? Thanks in advance civilised

I've just realised that my 19th PQ is full - I've now amended it so that between June 26 2006 and July 27 it returns 485 caches - and that's within 200 miles of Swindon, as I've long since given up trying to maintain PQs for the whole country. Quite a rate of growth anyway - just have to get out and find them now. civilised

This is stunning information and revolutionises the current understanding of Glacial limits in Southern England I think that civilised should put the Wiltshire English Heritage office in touch with both the Quaternary Research Association and INQA as I think that this startling revision of our understanding of ice dynamics should be shared with the whole community of Quaternary Researchers! Or perhaps it might just be possible that Engish Heritage web page writers was basing there speil on older ideas or that a non specialist confused glacial and periglacial action? I think we should know. Anyway here is an up to date map showing the limit of glaciation as accepted by most Quaternary Scientists, but not apparently English nature in Wiltshire. Well, I would put English Nature in touch with the organisations you mention - but I'm concerned that EN might be put off by the level of sarcasm seemingly inherent in the Quaternary Researcher's responses In the meantime, EN information boards, web sites, and local beliefs are good enough for me, simple as I am. civilised

Glaciers In Southern England is the cache although, unfortunately, the Sarsen Stones are not of glacial origin. For one thing the maximum southern limit of glaciation in central England is Oxford where the Anglian Glaciation blocked the former valley of the Thames, diverting it southward through the llll gap along its present course through London. English Nature seem convinced that the stones at Fyfield Down were transported there by glacial action - here. Perhaps there may be local variations in the maximum limit of glaciation. In any event it would appear that none of the stones at Fyfield are individually named civilised

I like the company as no one else will go caching with me on a regular basis I dislike taking him to caches which need to be approached over dog-unfriendly stiles. I particularly dislike taking him into fields occupied by animals larger than he or I, that have an active dislike of dogs. On balance, I'd rather cache with him than without Him is the dog, not my son civilised

Can someone tell me if there's a time limit on how long a question is outstanding ? This is the second time that a question of mine has been ' dinged ' ( ie an answer is given as correct ) by someone else.
