I need to find a calculator that works under windows 98, (and also 3.0 ce would be nice) where I can enter DEG/MIN/SEC and see DEG/MIN/MM and DEG/MIN/MMM and DEG.DDDDD or any which way. It would be nice to be able to alter one value and update all others. Any help or do I have to hone up on my visual basic. I made one in VB6 along time ago, easy and quick to make since you are not changing to another datum. No matter where you go... There you are! NTGA member

  5. quote:Originally posted by kdkk17:how do i get rid of the straight line thats created from where i turn the gps off to where i turn it on again..should i just turn the tracks off on the gps itself? id rather not have to remember to turn it back on...also..do i have to download everything thats been saved everytime or can i just download the last days jaunt without deleting the saved tracks on my legend On my emap & Vista when I save the active track in the GPS it will ask (from different times, to entire log) I suppose it gets the choices from gaps in tracks as you mentioned. 8. quote:Originally posted by Doug Tabacco:Hi there, I'm pretty new to GPS, and I just got an eTrex Legend. What I'm wondering is, are there alternatives to the MapSource CD-ROMs that can be used with the Legend? I'm a college student, and it was enough of a stretch to get the GPS unit itself, so the MapSource software is just a little out of reach. Sorry if this is a dumb question yes! there are lots of programs to use with the GPS, some are free! BUT! map source is the only one that can upload maps to the GPS No matter where you go... Oh, wait, I'm showing my age.... DON'T TOUCH THAT INTERRUPT BUTTON!!! T-storm http://www.cordianet.com/geocaching Ahhh the good ol days ours had a IPL button just as effective (for you kids.. its like [ctl][alt][del]) No matter where you go... There you are! 12. quote:Originally posted by st_richardson:Looks interesting and very usefull. Can you down load info? The only drawback I see is the time to enter data. not at this time... I use cut and paste for the heavy data input usually from avantgo page, mobipocket, or just the note pad from pc synced to the palm. If the GPX format becomes available on geocaching perhaps I could use this to load the info in a PC conduit and sync to palm. No matter where you go... There you are! NTGA member

I just pointed out a possible problem. If you don't think it is that close -- I am not a lawyer. But I can certainly see if someone wants to make a case about it I would not find it too far of a stretch. then take a look at Handspring's logo.. should someone here be sweating bullets? 16. The other site? I know of at least 2 other sites. I post my caches and finds to all 3! but most of the caches listed are here. I started listing mine on all 3 since reading the (old now) threads here about (shareing the info & hording the data... who's cache is it any way) I choose where my caches are listed! and log any I find on sites they are listed on. If Enron can fold, why would I leave my caches listed in 1 basket? No matter where you go... There you are! NTGA member

Anybody have any info? sounds like this one http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=33557 it's easy to search for events that have not yet taken place, from the main geocaching.com page search by state, this will list all in the state by date order, any listed at a future date will be on top.
