  1. Here are some equations that i wrote out for you guys that you might be able to use. (gotta pick the right ones) V=d/t A=Vf-Vi/t Vf=Vi+at V=Vf+Vi/2 d=1/2 (Vf+Vi)t d=Vit+1/2at^2 Vf^2=Vi^2 +2a I missed physics in high school, but I don't see an equation to plug in the constant for gravity. As far as how to use the answers, I would expect to able to able to round my answer to the nearest thousandth's so answer a would be the north cooridinates and answer b would be the south cooridinates. the degrees would be the local degrees unless you wish us to do other calculation.
  2. meat tenderizer also works for insect bites
  3. if his lowrance already has connectivity, then he doesn't need the legend, he can use the lowance to get him close and fine tune his approach with the e-trex, my vote would be the e-trex.
  4. I've had good success with the geocaching maps provided free, Buxley's maps also do a nice job. Premium memberships give you the ability to do a pocket query, which allows you to search a certain radius.
  5. the arizona republic didn't write the article, this is a reprint from san antonio, what's going on that they chose to reopen this issue nine months later.

if you are a nonpremium member, use the state maps to help you, they list caches in the area that you click and are somewhat effective in helping you select caches.
  7. you might advise the reviewer anyway, because you might still conflict with multi's or puzzle, but it probaly won't be a problem. not as a new submission but just a courtesy
  8. plug the new cooridinates into the advanced search engine and check that there are no caches within the .1 limits. If this is okay and you haven't crossed property lines, I imagine you are pretty safe, but I will yield to a reviewer obviously huskerrich
  9. I'm getting to ready to place my first cache, a micro that I got as swag from another cache, should I give credit to that cacher as co-planter, or just note that he helped me put the cache together. Any other advice on how to procede. huskerrich
  10. letterboxing is following a written set of clues to arrive at your box, you then exchange stamps at the box to log your find. they also have hitchhiker(travelbugs). To find a box near you letterboxer.org. follow the same rules and courtesy you use for geocaching.
  11. Good job finding a mystery box, I hope you signed the log.
  12. i planned on upgrading to the premium membership, when I found out this was going to be my hobby, but are you guys telling me I'd just as well off w/buxley?
  13. I was going to recommend a tb option, "report a missing tb", if a cache owner checks up on a cache that's reported to have tb in it and doesn't he should contact the owner and advise him of the vacancy. At least remove from the cache, I know there is a cache for tb's that are retired. Can we create a missing in action cache for t.b. that won't add mileage.
  14. as i undersand it a virtual cache is either a view or object of general interest, or a location where an ordinary cache cannot be placed(national parks). evidence that can only be gotten by being at that location is e-mailed to the cache owner is the proof that you have suceeded the requirements of the cache.
  15. for the discussion I will add that the site is a nature preserve with many trails owned by the Audobon Society. also let's assume that the location is on a trail where finders won't have to disturb the enviorment.
  16. I recently joined this forum because i have an interest in the hunt. I joined because I did questing or letterboxing in Boston. My family has in fact created a quest in a city park but haven't activated it yet pubicly because we are seeking permission from the Parks Dept. With that said I was surprised to see that letterboxing does exist nationwide through the internet. I recently contacted an out of state placer of a cache in my local area about whether a box he created is still active, he replyed back stating that to his knowlege it was and to check up on it and have fun. He then told me that the owner was unaware of the cache and therefore "mum's the word." I don't like the situation that the placer has put me in. This owner has a allowed a cache that is listed in our databanks, and therefore I got a feeling that it's okay. Should I contact the owner about this? Let the cache stay? Please help.
