  1. Depending on where you live, shipping is a nightmare, especially now on Ebay. Yes, as a seller, it is now REQUIRED to provide 'proof of delivery' in order to not get a charge back down the line. I have attempted to sell a few things on ebay since the change and this is what I found..... Within my own country of Canada - $5-$8 for the 'lightest' item, and the cost goes up from $8 depending on weight and box size. Going to the US -->$4-7 again for a 'small packet with not much weight' and up from there. International --> $12-17 depending on 'where' we are sending it. It is more expensive to ship within my own country then anywhere else which is crazy, but it is not our choice. There are too many people out there who would love to claim a 'did not receive' and if we cannot provide 'proof' of the shipment, then we loose the money and item.
  2. I'm sorry about this, it was not intentional by any means. I just tried to see if I could edit/delete the post, but I cannot find anywhere that I can do this...... I posted it because I do see others asking where to purchase things, and I see answers posted for various businesses....not sure if there is a difference there between businesses and online. Again, sorry if this has created any issues. Please delete it if you are able to. I would like to keep the original post showing the tag to others if possible though.
  3. I found these during my search at www.girlguidetraveltag.com
  4. There has only been 2 geocoins created in Canada (BC and ON) for Girl Guides, and so few were made that most people did not even get the chance to request one - they were gone before we even got the information! There is a new travel tag/bug out now with a Girl Guide theme. http://girlguidetraveltag.com/wp-content/u...0/EDI-00680.jpg Now everyone can have a chance! I've got 10 of them!
  5. Hello everyone! My family is new to caching and we are all hooked (except of course my teenage stepson who does not like to be dragged on our outtings - which makes for good muggle cover though lol). Up to now we've been using our car GPS, but we all know that it is no longer going to cut it....too may DNF's for us, and we are now looking at getting a proper GPS. There is a lot we do not know about them though, and there is a lot we should know if we are about to spend this kind of money on one. It will be used for: 1. First and foremost - geocaching 2. My husbands hunting trips. We need to know: 1. What kind of maps do GPS's come with? I see lots of extra map pack things we can buy that are extra, but do we need one? Can we not purchase a GPS and start using it? 2. Base map packs that come with them, are they set for the country you buy them in? Online stores say they have the US base map, but we live in Canada. Does that mean if we buy it here in town, it will have the Canadian map pack? 3. Will there be anything else we need after we get the GPS in order to get going on it? Recommendations please..... So far we've looked at the: 1. Garmin 60CSX 2. Colorado 300 - currently discontinued but a place in town has them on sale for about $250-$300 3. Orlando something or other...forget the name of this one. Any recommendations and helpful tips would be MUCH appreciated! We really want to get one soon so we can get out there and do some more caching.....we are all very eager.... Thanks everyone!
