  1. Hi all, Table Top Trove has had a great run on Table Mountain with very little maintenance since 2005; it has now gone missing and unfortunately I no longer living in beautiful Cape Town. Looking for someone to adopt this cache ( will need replacing shortly). Give me a shout and I will start the paperwork to transfer... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=31286247-dd65-4fbd-9388-65b3de7a72f2 http://coord.info/GCMYYZ Thanks all Richter Family

  3. Hi all - I am leaving London shortly and need to put my caches up for adoption; what is the process or should I just leave them running with a big note saying owner now gone? Can you officially transfer ownership?

  5. I have just had 4 caches closed on me within 1 week [well actually all today]; me think it is the wonderful garderners of the beautiful Battersea Park. I have closed the caches and already I have had 4 emails asking me to try and get them open again. To me, caching is all about finding new places and "caching in and trashing out" and occasionally saying "wow, you guys are doing a great job!" Why? What is caching to you? Why should I try and get these caches open? Please guide me back to the path...
  6. Click on the Decrypt button and then re-encrypt and then decrypt etc. - notice the answer gets longer and confusing output. This only applies on the cache below... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...9f-86046c5aef65 The coders at Geocaching.com need to sanitise data before displaying and quote '&' or not allow this input; my guess is that the site might be open for a SQL injection attack if not fixed shortly.
  7. also note in the TB notes: Recently spotted in : it says that it is still in the hands of someone while the detail below says that is is in the cache??!!??
  8. Hi - all. One of my TB has been stationary for sometime now so I decided to take a look at the current cache it is. Not there. The TB seems to be out of sync and this is 4 months. The TB is stuck with someone who dropped it off at a cache, but actual cache thinks it is still with person who dropped it off and he does not have it. Not sure if any of this is making sense. Take a look at http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=122210 and then track history of cache where TB thinks it is at. Basically, TB thinks it is at a cache while cache thinks TB is with a person so TB is lost in ether!!??!! Any help much appreciated.
  9. Thanks all - your comments worked a treat - be patient... Went to open space and after about 8 minutes the sats started popping on screen - 11 within 15 minutes. Thanks
  10. Hi, I have being using a Garmin etrex in England and it works a treat. Come to sunny South Africa (specically Cape Town) and the * does not pick up a single sat. Is this by design or has something gone amiss? Any help would be appreciated.
