  1. What a great thread! We have been looking for ideas on what we might do when we are not Geocaching! ;-)
  2. Congratulations Doobies! Seen any Oreos lately? As Gary says... Cache On!
  3. Hi brazilindy! We sure hope to see you there. This will be a kid friendly weekend, feel free to bring them along if you wish. InKy Geo will be hosting a CampFire Meet & Greet in the Rally Campground on Friday Evening. We would love to see you there if you can make it. take care, jeff'
  4. Congratulations Wayne!! Amazing job!! jeff'
  5. Oops... sorry Jeremy, I forgot that we were not supposed to talk about this stuff.
  6. I originally joined as a Charter Member because of the Chevy Suburban that all Charter Members got. However it seems that I underestimated the value of the cash bonus for each find that someone in my downline logs!
  7. I understand that I am mentioned in there. My GS membership has now expired so I won't recieve this issue. If you don't mind, I would love to see this. thanx, jeff'
  8. Deermark! After you are done teaching GSAK to Tricia... could you give me some Palm Pilot lessons?????
  9. Well... I got beat to the draw for Rally Campsite #1; so I booked Rally Campsite #2. Still a great site for our group. As you decide, please post here and let us know if you will be camping with the group. Please let me know if you have any questions. see ya, jeff'
  10. The IndiGo Fall Picnic is just around the corner (September 9th), at Brown County State Park. In just a few days we will hit the six month mark and Indiana will begin to accept your camping reservations for these days in September. InKy Geo will be hosting the Friday evening campfire event on Friday September 8tth in the Rally Campground @ Brown County SP. I am renting Rally Site #1 for the weekend. This will provide a large area where we can congregate and is easily accessible to everyone even if you are not camping. The Rally campground is primitive… there are no electric or water hookups or modern bath and shower houses. Water is available in the area. I will have a couple of gate passes that we will share to gain entrance to the modern campground for the purposes of using their showers and bathrooms. The camping fee for the Rally Camping area is $10 per night. IMPORTANT: If you intend to camp with the group in the rally campground DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS with Indiana. Simply send an e-mail to me and you will pay me when you arrive to set up camp. PLEASE DO NOT PAY INDIANA!! I WILL HAVE ALREADY PAID THEM!! I realize that some folks will want to camp in the modern campground to have an electric hookup. I would recommend the first camping area in the gate which is Buffalo Ridge. The following sites are pretty nice and would be a close walk to both the rally camping area as well as the shower house. Site Recommendations for Buffalo Ridge - 1,3,5,7,9,4,6,8,10,11,22,23,24,25,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35. (You can see a map at the online reservations center). If you choose to stay in the modern campground ($28 per night), you will need to make your reservation with the Indiana reservation center: http://www.indiana.reserveworld.com/Campgrounds/search.cfm OR 1-866-622-6746 Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. 12. Ya know... I think that looks a little like Deermark too!
  13. Hi folks! Sorry we havent been around for a while... I just woke up and found out it is almost Christmas! I must have been off the planet for the past month or so! I think this IndiGo deal is pretty cool. Thanx to Jim, Lyn & Gary for putting this deal together for us. We missed all of the kick-off events but will attend one as soon as we can. I see a group of brave soul's went out and attacked the 5/5 at Captain McHarry's Vault last Sunday. That is a real cool place, I am glad to see a cache there. I think I will run out and do that one myself sometime this week! see ya, jeff'
  14. Ya know... it has never occurred to me to actually check the physical log against the online logs. I have never seen an on line log for one of my caches that I thought I should delete. I do enjoy reading the physical log when doing maintenance though, some are just hilarious. But I don't think I will ever actually try to reconcile the logs.
  15. Trailrunner... I hope you don't quit. I would suggest that most of the folks that frequent these forums are geo junkies and do not always represent the views of your average geocacher. Had the op posted that find on one of mine, I would have simply checked the cache and repaired as needed and posted a follow up note to let folks know that I had taken care of it. I appreciate an honest evaluation of the cache from people visiting. A lot of things can happen over several months so I do like the feedback. I have 50 plus caches out there and really enjoy this part of the game. Yes on occasion something bad will happen to a cache but not very often. Here is what I suggest, hide ten more and keep on having fun! see ya, jeff'
  16. Uh oh... he's looking for us! I sent him an e-mail... always glad to help out if I can.
  17. Wow! That is an amazing amount of time spent on this one! I can be up there in about two hours, should I bring a chain saw and an axe?? I am jealous... I am sure it would be real fun searching for this with the group of characters that I see here! Since Doobies is involved... you folks should have plenty of Oreos! Have fun! see ya, jeff' btw: Bad Majec... I am a Oct 14 baby too! Happy birthday! (in a few more days)
  18. I have a unactivated set of TN coins for trade. The set includes one gold, one silver and one pewter coin. There were only 150 of the gold coins, and 250 of the silver coins minted. I am just starting a collection and I bought this set with the intent of trading for another multi coin set that would jump start my collection. I am especially interested in coins that are trackable via GC.com, however will consider all offers. At this point I am not interested in breaking up the set. Please e-mail if you are interested and describe what you would trade for the set. I would like to agree on a trade this week. Please be patient since I am new, I will have to spend a few minutes researching each coin so I can understand what I am trading for. Thanx for your help!

  20. I have Indiana and Tennessee available to trade. I have the TN in pewter, silver and gold. Although I am not sure that I can part with the gold one. I really like that one! Anyone want to trade?
  21. Got mine today in the mail! Ooh, that Gold one is purtyful!
  22. Congratulations Deermark!! 5,000 caches is almost more than I can imagine! You are definately a world class seeker. We appreciate all that you have done to help promote geocaching and for your leadership within the sport. ps. Now if you could just master that tree identifcation thing! see ya, jeff'
  23. I have a yellow etrex and two etrex legends and find them to be very accurate. Any chance you may have entered the coordinates incorrectly? I have been known to do this on occasion!
  24. Hmmn... I actually feel much safer while I am out and about in the woods. Much more so than I feel in some areas of town. Do I carry? Well, I am licensed to do so. We'll just let the criminals figure out when I am and when I am not!
