There are not too many wooden geocoins out there. You probably found a wooden nickel sig item. Is there any place on the coin where it says "track this coin at geocaching.com?" Make sure you check the edge of the coin, sometimes they put the tracking code there. If not it's probably just a signature item.

Wahoooo!!!! Thanks for posting pictures and an update EyeD10T. I'm so glad this one is moving along again. DocWahala still needs to grab the Blech Nickel from LilSmiths though

I was noticing a few coins on eBay with this packaging and the seller list them as a baseball card protective case with foam. The sleeve/hard case should be acid free at minimum, but there are cheap ones out there that are not very "paper" friendly. The foam I wouldn't be too sure of. There are several type and I would be worried about it releasing chemicals and affecting the coin over time.
