  1. More than likely they mean the Mighty Beanz like BlueDeuce suggested. I ran across one cache in Missoula (GCHTKG) where the CO is addicted to these Beanz.
  2. A Ninja!!! What bunny wouldn't want to be a ninja?
  3. I enjoyed the one locked cache that I've encountered. It was a large metal box in plain sight near a skate park and several baseball fields. GC217V4
  4. REI has more stuff online, but the Missoula store does have a variety of supplies there. I Didn't know about the Cache Advance store in Spokane, I will definitely have to check them out-thanks for the tip.
  5. Rainy- I was in a similar boat that you are in, but I started out with an app on my phone. This allowed me to see if I enjoyed it enough to actually go and spend the money and buy a real GPS. Well, needless to say, I'm hooked. I did about a months research, because I'm a weirdo who reads every review out here about GPSR, at some of the following links. I finally broke-down and purchased a Garmin Oregon 450 that was half-off during a Memorial Day sale. Guide to Buying a GPS Device http://geocaching.com/about/buying.aspx Helpful sites that gives reviews and tutorials http://www.gpsinformation.net/ http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com/ I hope this helps and I hope to hear from you on what you decided on getting and welcome to caching!! 6. I started out using the c:geo app on my Android phone to see if I enjoyed caching. Then, since I got hooked and wanted to cache in back-country areas I decided to upgrade and got an Oregon 450.
  7. When I first started Caching I was using my Android phone (Droid) and it had great accuracy (+/-5ft). I was/am using an app called "c:geo" and it has been the best caching app that I have been able to find on the Android market. Caching with your phone is a great starting place to see if you enjoy this activity. I use this app still, but I have upgraded and bought a GPS for when I go caching in the woods or back-country areas, where the phone gets bad or spotty signal.
  8. If you need someone for Idaho or Montana I could help you out.
  9. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! BlueDeuce, thanks for the walkthrough. When I was using MrsB instructions the first go-around I thought I could just edit my 'found it' log. I didn't realize that I had to create a whole new log entry, so no wonder it wouldn’t let me do it. T4E, it was really confusing. It didn't 'archive' the TB itself, just my log. After I deleted the log for the TB it still showed that I had those two in my ‘possession’, but wouldn’t let me edit my ‘deleted’ log that I could still access, but not edit. It showed ‘Archived’ in red in the upper right-hand corner of the ‘deleted’ log. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME!!!! It seems that I messed-up pretty good on this one, but it definitely made me learn to not log TB on my phone. The caching app is way to touchy on the TB log.
  10. I tried your suggestion, but after I go through the process it still shows that the TB is still in my hands and won't let select the 'active' or the 'grabbed it' option. It still just gives me the 'write note' and 'discovered it' options.
  11. Vickyth, I liked your idea to 'drop' them off, then 'grabbing' them again, but it won't allow me to do that either. Does anyone know if the owner of the TB can modify the log?
  12. A good beginners site that has some good, in-depth information. It covers quite a few Garmin handhelds. http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com/
  13. Actually it's these two. They don't show up in my 'trackables' and when I check on my log it indicates that it is 'Archived.' Unfortunately I think the outcome is the same, I will have to use either 'discovered it' or 'write note.' http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...91-1ddcc1d34459 http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...30-164ea2695aec
  14. The other day I picked-up two TB, so I logged them with a geocaching app on my phone. The next day I logged on and noticed that the TB had the wrong symbol indicated (it showed that I found it, but not in that particular cache), so I deleted it, thinking I could go back and redo the log, and now that I try to log the TB's it only shows two options, either 'Discovered it' or 'Write Note.' So, is there any way to show that I 'Grabbed from cache' or am I stuck with using the 'Write Note' or 'Discovered it' option?
