Well, on of my most memorable moments geocaching. While driving to the cache I look at my gps and it says .2mi. So i start to slow down. I notice and older man running from his mail box to his garage. As I get closer he just stops, I turn and look at him and guess what? BUCK NAKED! Took a quick look at my GPSr, Phew!, glad the cache isn't hidden in that crack.

I heard there is a way to change the legal screen (boot up). By downloading the firmware from magellans site and modifing it with a hex editor. Has anyone tried it? Any sugestions??

I have had a similar problem, I was able to get my unit to power up by turning it on 50 miles away. I think there is a program crash between the street maps related to your location. I have dumped the firmware and reloaded. Now my coords dont seem to be accurate any more. Time for a tech support call. One step closer, but to what?

Curious? Has anyone got this figured out. Using expergps to download, then fetching with mapsend is getting real old. Gregory www.inahole.net

Has anyone use the Aiptek Mini PenCam? If so is it worth the buy for geocaching?
