  1. Ok, after 2 plus hours I think they have stopped.
  2. For over two hours now I have received the same notification about the same cache every 2 minutes. This is to my IPhone. The notifications are in sequential order, starting at 1(410)200-572 to (currently) 1(410)200-636. I have deleted the notification and rebooted my phone. I'm still getting them. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.
  3. Some of my pocket queries are not showing up, though the site says that they have run. The even numbered ones show up and are available to download. The list shows that they all were generated. Really annoying since the most current one is an odd numbered PQ.
  4. On my profile page in the Stats bar you show that I have 7686 Hides where the correct number should be 173.If I go to: Geocache Information for User: Strider in the breakdown by type it shows the subcategory counts correctly but still has the same wrong total. Then if you look at all my hides that cover 8 pages you post that I have placed 147 caches instead of 173. The "My Finds" counts are good though. I first noticed this right after the Lab Caches were added to "My Hides" and I did 10 Lab Caches for Geowoodstock. I looked at a couple of other people's stats & haven't seen anything like this. Thanks!
  5. Looks on my topo map like it is on the side of a steep hill or bluff. I'm not close to it but it sounds like it would be fun to try to find. How good are the coordinates you receive from these?
  6. I have a few questions about this, looking at the topos for the coordinates it is on a very steep hill or even a bluff, is this a placed device or something like a weather balloon the just ended up there? It could be a river monitor where we could go by boat or should one try from above through the woods? And how big is it and what does it weigh? I would like a few details before attempting this quest. JIm
  7. The recent story of the two cachers who got lost in the woods made me think of one new attribute, for cell phone coverage or not. Especially the NOT. Another one is for barb wire and fencing, maybe one for old wire on the ground or just barb wire and fencing in general. I've run across lots of old fencing that is hazardous in areas that are open for caching. Anyway, just some ideas for the attribute designers to consider. Strider
  8. I have a problem with my Friends List. Any new friends that I add to my list do not appear on it. Earlier today I accepted herbiekid's Friends Request and it doesn't show on my page. This has gone on for over two years now since I first reported it in the forums. Nobody else commented on it and now I see that that topic is locked. It doesn't matter if I make the Friends request or if I respond to somebody else's. I have noticed though that no friends are listed on my account that signed up after 2007. What is going on with this. I guess I'm the only one with this problem? I'd appreciate somebody getting back to me about this.
  9. Ooh!! Awesome!!! Ordered one! CF30
  10. What is the name of that owl coin... top right. I love that design. Guardians of the Nights, and they're by D.J.Jay, if I remember his caching name correctly. Guardians of the Night were by Suckerish. CF30
  11. When I add friends to my Friends List, they do not show up on the list anymore. I have 143 showing, but new ones do not appear. If I try to add them to the list manually I get a notice that they are already in my list. This is the same in Firefox & Internet Explorer (latest versions of both) I use Windows XP though I doubt that has anything to do with it. Thanks, Strider
  12. I agree with you, there should be, but I would also like to keep the choice of each type of cache. If I may add another question to this topic, is 50 miles the outer limit for notifications? I cannot seem to extend my notifications beyond that distance? Thanks and I hope I am not taking thread too far off topic. Easier yes, but not enough to make any difference for me. Setting notifications up for each type is easily done in less than a minute. But i do agree with this last post in that i wish we could extend the notification's distance! Thank you.
  13. Not to mention that the FTF is also Beta Testing the cache for the placer. You are likely to be the one to discover anything they did wrong. Strider
  14. Is there any way to receive one Instant Notification for ANY type of cache in an area instead of having to create one notification for each type? It would be a lot easier I'd think. And if not, why? Thanks, Strider
  15. Very nice!! I especially like the no enamel ones tho the blue/silver one is very nice too. Congrats on another beautiful coin! CF30
  16. Carpe corvus is strictly my perogative....
  17. When I got home this afternoon, I was totally surprised to find a whole set of these on my desk. They are fantastic! I had no idea these were even being planned. Thanks dear, Strider We'll see everyone at GW7
  18. It has always amazed me how some obviously placed cache can stick around for years, and some very well hidden, out of the way cache can disappear in a few days. I have one cache that I hid 3 years ago, that I expected to disappear right away. It didn't. The parks department trimmed the tree that was hiding it, placed the cache at the base of the tree with a piece of black cloth & a few twigs over it. It is right by parking lot & tennis courts.
  19. It seems to me that the best thing to do for this would have been "Since I took off work today for the Day Without Gays event, I went out & placed a few caches." Or would that have been an agenda?
  20. If you use Streets & Trips, and GSAK, you can get a macro in GSAK that will make export files for S&T that will tell you what type of cache each is. You then change each icon to the right type for Geocaching. It makes your trip a lot easier, you can steer away from any types you might not want to attempt. We route on the fly, but S&T is great for either method.
  21. Try the GPS wave, wave to them with your GPS in your hand. If they are a cacher this should be enough. Though a secret hand sign would be cool
  22. I'm going to bed, lol. I'll give you a free Toucan if you fly up here and help me! Nite all.... T-r-a-v-e-l-o-c-i-t-y-dot-c-o-m ok....St. Louis to... where exactly am I flying to, anyway? CF30 haha, on my B/F's 'puter. My son is hogging mine... CF
