Congrats! One small cache for a pair of cachers, one epic smilie for geocaching-kind!!! Great to see the video after watching your spot beacon zig zag all over GZ on Saturday. Neat to finally see what it was like. I look forward to reading more about your adventure. Thanks for bringing us all along for the journey!!

I am also going with Found It! I know it has been a long time in a remote location with rather extreme weather - but it was 75 yards back from the river and the CO certainly went to great effort to place it all the way out there. AND - no human has touched it since (as far as anyone knows). I'll bet it was still there and intact. But however the search turned out - I'm with you... impressive just to get there!

watching them at GZ - what an accomplishment!! I doubt we will know if they found it or not for many days until they make it back into civilization. Wishing them luck on their hunt! I can only imagine the logistics it took to make this expedition. Can't wait to read about their adventure!

I'll bet it does. At several times on our ET Highway expedition we shut off the van and stood in the road for a few minutes gazing upwards. I've lived on the east coast my whole life, and had never been in an area that had so little light pollution. Here's a map for comparison. Both central NV and northeastern Ontario are in the darkest shading. Thanks for the link to the dark sky map! I live on the east coast at N40 in a solidly red area. I spend time in VT and enjoy the dark skies up there (especially in winter) but even that doesn't compare to way up there on the Albany river based on that map. Cool to see them on the move again this morning. Looks like another mild sunny day for them today. Hoping for a successful day of paddling for them.

Go Storm and crew! Looks like an amazing adventure and so cool that we all can follow along on their progress. Looks like they made up for lost time today. Weather forecast shows cool nights but sunny mild days throughout the rest of the week. Hopefully smooth sailing paddling ahead for them!
