  1. I have seen some strange things like satalite and antannas on the very top of mountains with no houses near by. But the best one I had was a log to one of my caches. I hide a cache in a recreation park and a log posted was that the cachers had to back up and leave because there was a couple there, Well uh having recreation.
  2. I have seen in a few post s mention of dipping a TB. How do you do this? This would be a great way to see how many miles me Truck TB has gone Haulin Cache.
  3. I did a bone head thing. I am new to this geo caching and ordered a TB tag. When the tags came I took the tag and the copy tag and put them in a safe place till I was ready to start my own TB. Well today I went to start mine and seen I need a activation code. I threw out all the envelopes and packaging that the TB came in except the plastic baggy it was in and there is no code on it and the copy tag has no activation code either. Is this bug done now or can I get the activation code some where?
  4. FTF and regular logs being late dont bother me. What does is when they take a trakable and dont log it. Like today I spent 2 hrs climing rocks and when I got to the cache the coin I was after was not there and the cache has not been visited for over 2 weeks but it is listed as beeing there.
  5. Here is one you can put right in a front yard or on a sidewalk if in the city. Take a huge flower pot container that the 5 gallon container fits in. Cut a pc of styrfoam big enough to cover the pot opening and fill it up by pushing artificial flowers in it. Make a rope handle in the center so that the styro foam can be lifted out to get to the 5 gallon container. People think it is just a big flower pot.
  6. If you didn't drop them into that cache, are they still in your possession? Or did you physically drop them into a completely different cache? If you still have the TBs then you have the tracking numbers and you can correct the error. Just go to the mini cache page where they'll be showing in the Inventory, click on the TB name and do a "Retrieved from whatevercache" log. In the comments box just put something like, "Correcting logging error: The TB did not visit this cache." This will bring the TB back 'into your hands'. If you physically dropped them into a different cache you can't correct the placement without having the tracking numbers. The best you can do is put a note on one cache page to say, "Sorry, error, the TB's not in this cache..." and a note on the other cache saying "I dropped Whatevername TB into this cache" then email the owner and ask them to correct the placings for you. MrsB Thanks for the information. I do still have them. I found that all 3 of the tracking bugs I had in my file were dropped to this cache. I did not drop them any where. It was a computer glitch. If you drop them some where the computer should ask are you sure you want to do that then errors could be eliminated all though I didnt drop these here. I will reteive them back.

  8. I have a major problem but not sure how to correct it. Last night I got a e-mail that I dropped off 2 travel bugs at a cache location. Trouble is I did not drop them off. The cache is a mini cache and they wouldnt even fit in it If I wanted to. I dont know what happened and how 2 of them got listed. I have dropped them in caches before so I know how to drop them off. I did not click on them when loggin this cache. Any one know how I can fix this. I thought of just going to the cache and making a knote that I took them out and have them again. Would that work? Didnt know what else I can do and not sure how this happened.
  9. Just a small point, and I may be reading into your post, however TB's are not trade items. You can drop them or pick them up without "trading". Caches that say you have to trade are called TB prisons and that directive can/should be ignored. OK THANKS FOR THE INFO EVERYONE.
  10. I am new to this and I have a question about revisiting a cache. Lets say I found a cache that is along a busy interstate and it holds TB'S all the time and seems like a good place to put them to move them along with people who are traveling through the area. Is it OK to go back to that cache and take one out again and put another one in that you want to move. I enjoy the TB'S and seeing where they have been and was wondering if it is ok to go back and switch them up with another TB I found else where.
  11. I bring all my TB'S home to see where they have been and if there are any special requests from the ownwer. The last one I found was a father sending out a TB in honor of son earning his Eagle badge in Boy Scouts. He asked that the TB go to camps and have its picture taken at the camp fire. Being a Cub Master and Assistant Troop master I was happy to help him. I have been reading these posts about TB's and guys just wanting to move them to another cache and not caring where they are intended to go by the owner and that they just want to move them and that is fine that is your right to do that and please dont think I am bashing you. I have this solution to the problem though. Why dont they make differant color Travel bugs. Say Silver or green if the person who owns them just wants them to travel around from cache to cache with no specific destination. Then say red for those that have specific places they want them to go. That way you can decide do you want to pick up that TB since it has a specific place to go or directions for it that you should take it home and look it up to see what they are. Just a suggestion. I know you can buy black ones for replacements seems like a good way to help decide about picking up a TB or not.
