I'm going to GeoWoodstock4.... never having been to an event. How is everybody carrying his/her trader coins? I was thinking I'd carry them in the tupperware container they're in... but they're so heavy! So carry them in a backpack? I haven't been lifting enough weights to make that a trivial thing.... How are you bringing your coins to the event? Leave them in your car til you encounter a coin trader who is willing to hike back to the car? Enlighten me!! How will I know when I've encountered a coin trader? Is there a secret handshake? Or do I need to start trying to memorize names in this forum? Thanks for the info.... Christine

I'll be there with coins. I hope I run into a coin trader or two :0) But just remember -- I'm a girl coin trader. I'd hate to be passed up cuz y'all thought I was a guy.....

I like geocoins that.... - are round, or almost round - do not have epoxy on them, which allows me to feel the design - have some weight to them - have an interesting story behind them - I encounter in the wild

I emailed Groundspeak to find out what was going on with my coin, since y'all were wondering about it. Here's what they said: Perhaps I *should* make my own icon. Can anybody point me to the rules for making one? i.e., it can only have so many colors, be so big, etc?

Howdy, all... Can somebody please clue me in as to what the problem is? I've activated a couple of my coins and didn't notice a problem. But I haven't activated many coins in general, so perhaps I'm missing something?? I'd like to fix it if there's a problem with my coin.... And for the record, I don't have any plans to do a custom icon. Thanks... Christine

Did y'all mail the coins with the return address of Moore, OK 73160? with no return sender's name? If so, I received an empty envelope with a slit down the side, and I'm guessing it's from you. I have no idea who else would have sent me something from this area....

After sleeping on it (the idea, not the envelope I realized that I had probably purchased an OK/TAG coin, and the other three coming to me will be through my coin buying group. So, that has to be who this is from. My applogy for doubting AG earlier.... Thanks, GB. I'll contact them.

Howdy, all... I received an empty padded white envelope today with a slit down the side and nothing inside. The return address is not one I'm familiar with, and there was no name as the return sender... It's from Moore, OK 73160. Does anybody know who this might be? Postage paid was $0.63, so it was probably only one coin. Since I don't have the address in my Coin Trading folder, I'm guessing it's somebody I purchased a coin from. If anybody knows a coin trader in that area, could you let me know? Perhaps it will jog my memory on a trade I owe or something. Thanks for your help... Chris

To tell you a bit about the coin (and thus myself).... I am a decorative painter. I paint wood and tin. Things like boxes, trunks, dressers, cabinets, trays, teapots... No canvas. Only occasionally a mural on a wall (not to my liking)... I love cats -- those are actually kitty paws. The original artwork from the minter (I saw it very large) had dog prints, with toe nails. I asked to have the toe nails removed... I'd like a dog, but I really don't have the time to give it all the attention I think it would want. Cats want attention on their terms. Gotta respect that... The CG on the back is for Christine Gunnerson. Yes, I'm female... but I go by Chris. You'd be surprised how many geocoin traders email me with "Thanks, sir!" and things like that after a trade. We always get a laugh out of it in the end Chris

Chrisgun geocoin Howdy, all.... My Chrisgun personal geocoin will be arriving soon... and I'm so excited I couldn't wait any longer to announce it.... The minter is trying to narrow down the date, but is telling me to expect to have it in hand late February. Here's the spec: - 1.5" round coin - reed edge - trackable on geocaching.com - no special icon - for trade only The front will be in 3-D, but I don't have a photo of that yet.... Not all coins will be traded -- some have to be set free into the wild :0) I am having 200 gold produced as the standard coin. There will be 75 antique copper as the limited edition. There will be 25 antique nickel produced as another limited edition, but will be available for special trades only. I hope I don't offend anybody if I turn down a trade for these coins -- they're going to be a bit hard to come by... There will be 1 gold leaf and I will be keeping that for my personal collection. My trading list is on CoinTracking.com/public/chrisgun. I'm open to all trades, but I do like my coins round/oval. If you'd like a coin, please email me.
