  1. Unit is sold to motorcyclekid. Unit will be shipped today. Tracking information will be sent after unit has shipped. Thanks again.
  2. I would be honored to sell it to a Marine. My dad is a retired Marine. If you send me your email address, I will send you an email via Paypal. Please include the shipping address for the unit. You will love the Oregon. I just don't have the time to use it at this point in my life.
  3. I have an Oregon 450T that I used less than 10 times. The unit comes in original box with owners manual, belt holder, computer cable, and CNAV North America NT micro sd/card. Unit is in MINT condition with no scratches. $150 shipped. Payment via PayPal.
  4. Go into the application settings by pressing the Menu button at the lower left of the screen, select Settings, then change the Units to Miles/Ft. That should do it! --Larry Thanks for the information, Larry. However, there is no Menu button on the display screen? Here is everything listed on first screen: find nearby caches, advanced search, offline lists, trackables, pocket queries, saved logs, and souvenirs. That's it?? Thanks for trying to help me. I sent an email into our site yesterday about this issue. No one has contacted me yet.
  5. I purchased the Geocaching.com application for my new Motorola Droid phone. The program looks great and it will be fun to use when I am in a new area with a few minutes to spare. My problem is when you search for nearby caches, the distance is listed in meters not miles. I do not see a place to make the change on the phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I am looking for an inexspensive unit to give to a local family. Need something easy to use. I would prefer to pay via Pay Pal. Thanks for your replies.
  7. Go to your profile on Geocaching.com, and on the right hand side you should see a link to "Access your filed notes" http://www.geocaching.com/my/fieldnotes.aspx From there follow the link in the Garmin Oregon and Colorado section, follow the instructions at the bottom and navigate to your field notes.# Don't forget to delete your notes from your Oregon afterwards though..... Thanks I found it.

  9. I just started geocaching. My daughter and I went out last night and found 7. It was really a blast. I bought the Oregon 450t as my first unit. I love it! I know many of you told me to get the 450 and use the free maps. However, I am just starting and I wasn't sure I would get things set up right. So, I spent the extra bucks. While I am looking for the cache I can bring up the description, notes, hints, logs, that is very cool. Here is my question. Now that I have found seven cache's, how do I get that information loaded on this site? I know I can do it manually. But, there has got to be a better way. Do I need to download some program that will take the information from the Oregon to this site? Any help would be appreciated.
  10. Thanks for all the replies. I am placing an order today.
  11. I am just starting geocaching. I will be upgrading my membership to support this site. I have been reading the various post on gps units. I am looking hard at a Oregon 450t unit. I see many people complaining about the light display and that concerns me. I also looked at one of the sites REI and although they only list three reviews, the Oregon 450 got a 3 star out of 5 star ranking. I wanted to hear from some of you that actually have one of these units. If you could do it over, would you buy the same unit? This will be my first GPS. I want to get it right. I will only be using the GPS only for geocaching. I want to go the paperless route. Thanks for any help.
  12. I am preparing to start Geocaching. I have been reading about a new Magellan product just released. It is a Magellan Explorist GC. Has anyone tried one of these products out? If you have one, what extras did you purchase? Thanks for the feedback.
