Is that right of people to do. I know it is nothing NEW but it is frustrating when you spend good money and want them to keep moving and they go into a collection. The guy I found has 261 tags in collection. Alone 75 Dog tags. Checking them out, some go back to 2012.... maybe later. if he sells them for $5. used on ebay $1305.

I started Geocaching in 2010 started with 21 trackables. Jan 2012 none of them were traveling. All gone...probable kept by cachers. I was heart broken and replaced all with PROXIES. Adding to my expense, plus I like to dress all tags with a swag. Only ONE Cacher would help me get the trackable back in the AREA where they bit the dust at. Is this like the sock monster (washing machine) we have a TRACKABLE MONSTER. I try to put out a tag in every geocach I find....(I don't do a lot of caching) But it has gotten expensive when the tags all disappear!!! Maybe I should have canceled them and just started over.....

Never thought about it that way. The best Tag I put out was one I put out in London. It traveled from USA to England to Netherlands to Germany in four moves. That blew my away. Then it went to Belgium and traveled there. Then someone contacted me that they lost it. So I am putting out a PROXY Tag now I will soon be on a trip Going to Las Vegas to Florida to Georgia then a couple weeks later to Missouri. 18 caches and I havn't even looked for the ones in my home small town USA. LOL

This is a answer I got "Master Reset my Montana" With the Montana powered off, press and hold the top left corner of the screen (while held in portrait mode) and cycle the power button. The Montana will begin the boot process. When prompted "Do you really want to erase all user data?", select [Yes] This is what took care of the problem

Thanks I have left it out for several hours. Thanks I had already started replaceing the pix images. But thanks now I well recheck the rest.

bought a Montana 650 used.........I have re-calibated it. turned off then on. Turned off and removed battery. But can not get it to change basic location to nebr. from Minnesota. Any geocach starts in Minnesota arrows to nebr. cach. How do I get it changed over to my location

I need help deleting Geos from a oregon 550. What to clear it out and start over. Can anyone help with this?
