  1. Mine has already MIA and at the 2nd cache it visited! I have an idea who's got it but they are not owning up!!
  2. We were home by the pc when blank logs started coming in for our series around a nearby lake. tjhe timing between each one was just the right time for someone to walk from cache to cache and thought we would go and meet them. It turned out the blank logs are due to an iphone app. You push a button to say found/not found and the app appantly does all the rest! We have now added to this to our cache pages: Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders often go through a great deal of effort when placing their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log or are logging from a mobile device but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.

  4. Hi Is it possible to create a pocket query to return a list of caches that have attained a certain number of 'favourite' votes (example more than 10)? Regards Alison
  5. One of the recent logs for our travel bug
  6. Thanks Mandy for sorting out the other blog. It so much easier!
  7. Thanks Mandy for all your effort. I am looking forward to the fun. Just one question, how on earth do I edit my blog to say address recieved etc??!!!
  8. Have a look at this one.... GC115H2 Laser Quest
  9. Mr aliandtone is a park ranger and often has to cut back bushes with a strimmer alongside footpaths. He says that often they are in the middle of a walking/cutting and one of these bags comes flying out of nowhere and gets ripped to shreds! There was a women who very often went around leaving the bags tied to the trees. He saw her one day get back into her car and drove off. Next time she visited shereturned to her car to find the bags tied to her wing mirror. She has never left any since!
  10. We recieved this log today for one of our caches.....it put a smile on our face OMG. I am not surprised that there have been so many 'can't finds' at this cache. We very nearly gave up, having searched the obvious places and then started on the not so obvious and then on the 'it can't possibly be here but we'll check anyway' places. This is the most ingenious, cleverest, sneakiest, unlikeliest cache in the whole world ever. Don't be disheartened by the recent lack of people finding it - go and give it a go! TFTC
  11. Go for it! I am glad to see you are not to far from our neck of the woods!!! Mr aliandtone also likes to devise.make caches and your question 'am I playing fair?' was one we also pondered on.We decided to go with 'container is unusual' and see what happened! We have a series around Stewartby Lake which we hope offers a bit of variety and generally the logs have been quite positive.
  12. So if a online log says something like 'found with [joe] and [sam] but now have my own account' and you late find they have not signed the logs then it is ok to delete?
  13. Snap. I too work in Milton Keynes but it looks as if we swapped sides as I now work closer to yours!!!
  14. The old Woolie's not empty... It's an All £1 Storeland place shop! In Bedford it is still empty! They left the lights on as well!
  15. We will be attempting the Chiltern100 on the weekend of 25 September.
  16. I believe the pond was near one of our caches! Between Bedford & MIlton Keynes there are quite a few caches of various types. There is also a event on Saturday 7 August located on the Northants / Bucks border in Salcey forest which the kids would enjoy and would also give you a chance to meet other cachers. "CG2BE51 - Can’t See the Wood for the Trees Event"
  17. this happened to us. our theory is it was done to stop those intent on ruining it for the rest of us. i.e pay one month fee, trash a few caches and disappear.
  18. This cache is now on it's way to being archived....... Location: Eastern England, United Kingdom Chiastolite temporarily disabled Quatermass Returns to School (Disabled) (Unknown Cache) at 6/1/2010 Log Date: 6/1/2010 This cache has never been found, and the owner has not logged into geocaching.com for some time.
