1. If I ever see you, I'll be sure to give you the same treatment. You could have rabies for all I know.
2. I hope you traded up!! In all seriousness great job!
3. Try Locus. It's your one stop shop for map downloading needs.
4. When you get to Skagway, find this cache http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=264cc34b-bb40-41bf-b18d-2d6884c29d08 and release all the prisoners. One of them is My Wyoming Traveler; it has a note on it that says please keep it in the USA, but I don't mind if it takes a detour through Canada. I did that cache! Tnln though. Yes download what you can first my friend.
5. NJ is a big state. Not necessarily in size itself, but in sheer numbers of people. In addition there are few states with such a dynamic and varying amount of landscape. I'd imagine another reviewer could help assist in dealing with that.
6. If you have netflix check out the documentary called "thumbs up". Its about two hitchhikers going across country. Some parts seem a bit staged, but still quite interesting.
7.

I couldn't care less if you believe me. What I said happened is what happened.

People get pretty brave behind their keyboard on the internet. I doubt you'd call me a liar to my face.

I think you may have misunderstood. I never called you a liar. Like i said, the unit could be defective, or perhaps could have dropped during shipping. Man people get tough on the internet.....
8. After a quick google search I noticed no one else has had this issue....in fact the only hit I got was this thread again. I have owned many zagg products and this story doesn't seem right. Either its a defective unit, or it was dropped at some point and the removal of the zagg product exacerbated the crack. If it its a defective unit, I would fight with garmin about it...call every day until its fixed for free.
9. The purchase is linked to the gmail account you bought the app with. Make sure that account is linked with your phone.
10. Sure is! Search for it in market and it will allow you to download again!
11. Again - paper and pen is just what I came upon as a method that works for me and allows me to honor the ToU that I read and agreed to. There are plenty of other ways to do it without a pen and paper. Also, the whole idea of not wasting paper... why do we use paper logs when there are also online digital ones? Is it environmentally friendly to drive out of your way to find a cache? You're wasting gas. If you want to go down that road, we should just sit at home and look at pictures of cats on the internet - no paper, no gas, no carbon emissions from driving around hiding and finding caches. Many people ride their bikes to caches and CITO. Seems silly to use a pen and paper when paperless is an option. Maybe you should ride a horse and buggy to the cache?
12. Stone Age - are you kidding me? Is writing something down so painful? Does it bother you that you have to walk to the cache as well? There are probably a hundred other ways to do it without c:geo, and some of them are probably all-digital, single-device methods. I simply mentioned the method I adopted in favor of c:geo, it is just what works for me and a suggested alternative for someone who wants to do the honorable thing. I *could* use the select/copy/paste functionality on my phone to transfer the descriptions and coordinates but I find this feature tedious and frustrating to use via touchscreen, and so instead favor pen and paper. Surprisingly, it did not cause a reverse apocalypse when I wrote something with an ink pen, and I'm still walking upright and using complex vocalizations to communicate. I just wanted to comment on this statement, as I don't want to be involved in the debate. The world is changing, why waste paper in a digital age? Isn't geocaching itself the combination of embracing technology and environment? Just throwing that out there....
13. Does he wear shoes in snow? I went to college with a kid that would wear sandals all winter long (in Wisconsin, with NO socks!) I still see him some times when I am coaching skiing because he will come out to the hill to take pics of the racers and there he will be on the hill with sandals on. I remember his feet were pretty tough but not like Cody's. Wow. In super cold snow he wears socks, no shoes.
14. So the answer is stealing the app? Try again....
15. Android apps are java based, so that would make sense....
16. Very interesting, thanks for that info. I take back what I said in post #40. No, I don't it was fun to type Ground$peak. Just kidding. I wonder what it iss that made the developer just give up and Geocide? New job, and every time the site updates something would break. He also made it sound like the api was extremely limited, so any app created could only be as good as the official one. C geo by far had the best support and the most features, however it also didn't play by the rules. Either way it will be missed and I hope someone continues his work (it's an open source project)
17. Accuracy has more to do with the phone, not the app.
18. Yesterday was bacon day, you know. And how about that freaking Turkey Bacon, eh? That stuff is quite excellent, all with 1/3 the calories and fat of the real stuff. An amazing invention, in my opinion. You couldn't pay me to eat that trash. It shouldn't be allowed to be called bacon. Gross! You're killing me man. Myself and the two kids are on board for Turkey Bacon big time. Mrs. Yuck hasn't come around yet, but it's only a matter of time. There's a lot that turkey can be used for: Turkey sausage, turkey burgers, and turkey meat sauce but turkey bacon is disgusting. Maybe its just because actual bacon is delicious beyond measure, but I think they should stop making turkey bacon all together just because it damages the name bacon. Here's a list of things I would try before eating Turkey bacon again: Cardboard dried shoe leather crushed glass smoothie
19. Aggh, I didn't think anyone would ignore me! I better start thinking more about what I post. I say keep it up! Non stop entertainment!
