1. There's not much to elaborate. If somebody sautes "X is as accurate as Y", then the question to follow immediately should be "how do you know?" And the answer to that would be "I don't". One will always be more accurate than the other, no two units are exactly the same. The only way to know which one it is is through scientific tests. Without those, all you can go by is how accurate it "feels" to be. I've done tests, and they were as scientific as I could make them at a consumer level. I think you have seen my posted results on one of my old threads.
2. The problem is that statements of the kind "X is as accurate as Y" are never true. Elaborate please. My experiences say different.
3.

I doubt it does, but i know it was consistently as accurate as my 450. Caching on my droid incredible was an awesome expierence.
4. I have had a phone with a "gps one chip" and it was as accurate as my oregon 450. I think your statement is unfounded.
5.

Make sure all 3 boxes are checked, then open the gps status app. Hit menu and choose tools. Then pick reset gps info. Hit menu again, tools then hit download agps data. See if after that u get a lock more accurate than u described.
6. Maybe you should tell them thanks, then find a place where they can buy an empty ammo can for ya. Win win situation.
7. Well I went ahead and purchased it, it seems like it has a lot of potential I agree.
8. First thing I notice is everything on the map is very small. Hmm seems useable though.
9. Because gc.com has specifically noted that they were working with the author of this application to use the new API. Read that a day or two ago - could have well been in their feedback system under the 'get us an API to use' suggestion (worded similarly, and right at the top of the heap by votes - easy to spot). Thanks for the info!
10. Question. How do I know its not violating TOS? I see it says powered by geocaching live, but how do I know its not site scraping and using the api? For instance last I knew "favorites" were not included in the api, however that info loads into this app. I can't pretend I know what I'm taking about entirely, just wondering.
11. Its neongeo! Lol I was searching in market for a while before I realized the typo.
12. I gave them a chance. And people from Belgium, the U.K., Scotsland, and get to flag and downvote my challenge into oblivion. No, but seriously. These *are* meant to be a joke. But, I wouldn't doubt it if someone took them seriously. Which is why I wanted to make sure I couldn't be legally charged. I guess I won't do it then. See, the thing is, geocaching isn't family friendly, you can have caches in Nuclear Reactors, in the middle of crime ridden parts of the city, up mountain sides, up trees, in sewage dumps. All is permitted. The difference is, with a challenge you are telling someone to do something. With a geocache, you are telling them there is something there, and it is UP TO THEM to figure out how to get to it. I don't see why I would be banned, I thought the whole point of challenges was to put the people in charge of moderating them in the hands of the community, not Groundspeak. I have a huge fear of getting permanently banned... I have put so much time and effort into my geocaching account, with pictures, logs and everything. I already have two Temp bans from the forums, so a Perm ban really worries me. I will hold off on these challenges until I have confirmation that Groundspeak won't ban you for something that the community *was* supposed to moderate. New challenge creation: Frame coldgears into a super ban.... Just kidding. The ideas aren't terrible, or I at least see the comedy in them. With that being said they were also relatively immature, and a good portion of cachers are older with a higher maturity level. I think a "grand theft auto" themed challenge could be fun but you would really have to give it a family friendly spin. Remember ultimately this is a family friendly game.
13. Found the first perk of the android app, since it uses the api its still giving me quick cache info. Finally!
14. I have an ipad 2, and there's just no shot of me bringing it into the woods geocaching. Seems like I would break it quite quickly. Good luck though if it works for you!
15. Did you make sure you checked the box indicating your cache is ready for the reviewer to see it?
16. Compared to cgeo it is bad, but it's getting better each update and its "legal"
17. Just download the official app and spend the money, its quite ready.
18. This one is easy. The egg came first. Dinosaurs were being hatched from eggs long before chickens existed, so the egg came way before the chicken. Chicken eggs, however, also came before the first chicken. As chickens evolved from whatever they were before, the previous animals were laying eggs and the animal that came out was slightly more chicken-like. Eventually an egg was laid by a non-chicken that produced a chicken. Again, the egg came first. If the animal came out slightly more chicken like, wasn't that the first chicken? So the chicken came before the egg! I don't think your supposed to answer that question btw...
19. If I were concerned about spoilers in those movies, I would go out and watch the movies. Otherwise I might risk having heard it at work, gym, news, some other pop culture medium etc. I say watch the movies ASAP and stop waiting! Btw at the end of the original planet of the apes, you see the statue of liberty and find out it WAS earth all along!
20. I noticed a lot of google + excitement on the forums. I'd like to have a bunch of NNJ cachers on my google + page, at which time we could start a chat huddle, geocaching circle etc. I'll start with mine: https://plus.google....468309265/posts Hopefully that will take you straight to my profile. If this thread fails, oh well at least I tried!
21. There is a nice cache location near me where I wanted to put an ammo can. After getting permission I was told "sure, use any container except an ammo can. They are banned" I was rather perplexed....
22. You could install a key finding device on it. You know the type where if you clap it will beep.
23. I go with my spouse. I can pretty much guarantee if it caused relationship issues I would abandon the game. Fortunately I don't have that issue!
24. If I ever see you, I'll be sure to give you the same treatment. You could have rabies for all I know. Except, I was actually attacked by a dog at the age of 10 in the woods. I'm sure you say the same to a rape victim who says, "If I see a man while in an empty lot, I pull out my Pepper Spray (for safety)" Lol did you just compare yourself to a rape victim? You win! I'm bowing out!
