  2. Hi Everyone! My husband and I just got started caching this past weekend (April 18,09) and found both that we had set out to find. I love this and wish I had found geocaching a long time ago!! Anybody in or around Livonia, MI that might like to go along with us on a search or two or just get together? Is there a club around here?? I would really love to meet with others who enjoy geocaching. Kathy Welcome to the addiction. I'm down Taylor way so not to far from you. hope to see you on the trails on day.
  3. Mine has a dual meaning to it, In the world of jeeps xj stands for cherokee, which up to a year ago was my daily driver a 97 jeep cherokee lifted 8" whit 33" mickey thompsons. also my indian heritage is cherokee so i decided to keep the name 1badxj even after retiring the xj.
  4. There is a logbook inside that does have the names of actual finder that match the GC Page. this has all happened within a week so maybe i'll try to wait thing out alittle longer and give the CO a chance to contact me they are still active cachers and deserve the benefit of the doubt. i was just trying to figure out my next step without over stepping any boundries. Again thank you all for your advise on this matter hopefully it will work its way out.
  5. Thanks for the replies. i believe it was archived due to the length of time it was on the disable list. i havent had any hides to date. i didnt want to hide one where this one was hidden and archived. it seems the CO just didnt follow through with their responsibilities to see if the cache was indeed missing. i found it from the listed cords and its still hanging in the same tree it was placed a year ago. i just didn't want to hide one and it conflicted with one that is already in the same cemetery. Thanks for all the help maybe i'll just move to the other end of the cemetery that should be well out of the area to avoid any confusion.
  6. Thanks for the help. i really dont want to step on any toes. i think this place should have a cache there. the owner should have came here to see if there cache was actually missing or just a DNF before archiving it. Again thanks for the replies.
  7. What about the cache that is still in its original location?
  8. The is a cache located in a cemetery close to me. the cache has been archived by its owner as being missing in oct of last year. there was a cacher that without knowledge of it being archived in 3-09 was in the area and went looking for it. Guess what? it was in the exact location all this time. so i emailed the owner and left another found log on the cache page with no response from them i even requested to adopt this one. its in a beautiful old cemetery that deserves to have a cache in it. so my question is how do i go about making sure this place has a cache for all to find?
