I have often used the Swedish word Skattjakt *treasure hunt it doesn't matter to me about finding treasure, its the searching for it that's the fun part.. and the excersise of course LOL

I have sent quite a few NMs, to CO, but no answers as yet... some of them date back to 2008! Lets hope they will get them sorted.. Its fun to find them...

I found another cache today that was bust open and no lid... no swag either... first left there in 2008... I would really look after my caches if I had them hidden... I seem to be an unlucky finder LOL OR maybe its good because all the old ones will be replaced by shiny new ones.. still cant find my pen... it went in the water..

could be.... In the caches I have found, I have left swag but not took any... it was just the fun of screaming " I found it" which was the most fun.. But I am not young.. Just young at heart

I think the very thought of going on treasure hunts.. isn't the fact that there is some thing to gain, other than lots of fun

Most of the caches around my area are just traditional.. but will go further afield soon.

I shall certainly up the game when I am able, I love doing puzzles and so will get started when I can. There are not as many here as say in a city.. its 7km to my nearest neighbour.. but that's fine I can drive :) Found quite a few old caches.. I will hopefully help to breath new life into this area with some fun stuff especially for the kids :)

ah ok, as written in the guidlines... yes it must be safe and well positioned too. Not just putting a cache down for the sake of putting one down.. etc... I have found many caches destroyed or not looked after. Of course I have reported them as needing maintenance, that's why I wondered if it was not as popular here anymore... There are many beautiful regions in Alentejo...

I had thought that hiding a cache and taking care of it, would be part of the learning experience too.... I shall wait and see what happens thanks for all your advice

yes, of course its a cache hidden.. just a small one for children, fun and easy... but I read that they are not physically checked by reviewers, just the information is checked... Am I wrong?

Ah ok.... I did wonder how they reviewed these as, I thought maybe there had been a backlog its not physical checking but the information that is checked . Things do take a while here in Portugal I assumed that was the case... I shall not do any more now until something happens and a cache is published. Yes to be honest, as its all virtual, I did wonder why it took time? but then again, as you say, people have holidays and sick, etc... which takes ages to get things sorted... We shall see... I won't go onto the forums asking anymore... sorry about that... I'm just ultra efficient and like things done promptly... I shall wait a few more days before, I remove the caches if necessary and log off. If
