Bumper damaged in car number one, nearly trashed the engine of the mini on a long detour from a mini show to collect a tempting distant geocache.

Searching For Bookmark Lists
FunLovingGeocacher replied to FunLovingGeocacher's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
A good start, but something more official would be better. There must be 100's of book lists attached to www.geocaching.com which although are availble to the public, are not because there's no easy way to find them. (yet?...) -
I'm off to Italy in 2 months as am researching some caches. I came across a few bookmark lists which were helpful, and was wondering if there was a way to do a search to have a look at other peoples publicly available bookmark lists, not just for italy, but anywhere, eg by keyword?

Anyone Lost Some Travelbugs?
FunLovingGeocacher replied to slimey's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I would be furious if any of my travel bugs ended up on E Bay. Time to send round "the boys" to have a quiet word. Not much that can be done now though. -
I've been geocaching in Ireland, Belgium and Wales! GPS had no trouble with the welsh Language.

THere's a cache called "The Severn Virtual Reward (Worcestershire) " GC60CE The aim is to photo all of the 7 station names, which is tricky from a train. -

Well I only discovered Locationless caches this week after noticing a fellow cacher had claimed an octaganal building at a geocache as locationless. After looking at his profile and seeing he'd found loads, I delved further. I have an interesting Locationless idea which I want to use, put they seam to no longer be on the list of cache types for new geocaches. ('In the future these will have their own section, but currently there is a moratorium on new locationless caches') I sort of under stand way marking, but some way marks are not worth visiting after being found once. Eg way mark Log a Lion GC930D, I don't see the value of logging a random lion as a new way mark, although the cache owner has set up a waymark page. Does that mean no once else can claim that lion (in this example, or does it mean people are encouraged to visit the lion, and also claim it? My idea is to have a Haunted House Way Mark, which would be a good concept for a way mark, and I'd like to be the first to way mark it. People can then use a haunted house way mark to visit such spooky establishments Being able to search for established way marks in your vicinity is good.

Going Geocaching In Belgium
FunLovingGeocacher replied to FunLovingGeocacher's topic in General geocaching topics
Thanks! I'm planning on going 17/18th of this month. 2 star hotels are around €70/80 thats near £50 per night in real money. There are some rooms for that price with shared toilets and single beds! Found one with all facilites and double room for single use. This is a one man adventure and after going on holiday with muggles to Dublin, it's probably for the best! Looks like a great place. -
This month I plan on catching a eurostation to Brussels Gare du Midi (N50 50.200 E4 20.243) I've got a 1000 air miles to use up so will be travelling for free. I've got a few caches in mind to find, but no where to stay. Can anyone recommend a cheap hotel or offer advice about this multi lingual part of the world?
