  1. The Green Devil Ducky enjoying some excellent artwork: A particularly "moving" piece of transportation art! Relaxing mosaic ducky art! Alabama sculptural art.
  2. The Yellow Devil Ducky was caught disrupting Mrs. MonkeyDawg's 8th grade English class... Cheating on an exam? Bad Ducky! Where's Yellow? Not surprisingly, this devilish behavior led to a well deserved visit to the Principal's office.
  3. Howdy Nochipra, Thanks for the very kind comments! The Devil Ducky Derby Race began a little over a year ago and is still going strong. To participate you simply need to pick up one of these little devils whenever one lands in a cache near you. The race is ongoing and you can access all the Derby Racers from any Devil Ducky TB page. Just pick one up and help it race along! Some of them have had absolutely amazing geo-adventures and one has even found a TB girlfriend... (tee-hee) It is the awesome geocachers who find and move these guys along that really make the race work. If you help a Devil Ducky achieve any award, you will become that Derby Racer's official Devil Ducky Sponsor. Well, at least until someone else snatches the title away! In the meantime, this thread acts as a scrapbook for some of the fun pictures (though certainly not all of them) so everyone can share in the devilishly good fun. Quack! Quack!
  4. Whoops, here is another photo I originally missed! The stealthy Ninja Devil Ducky enjoying his visit to the BIG Orange Travel Bug Convention Center and MaxB's on the St. Joseph River in Michigan.
  5. The Invisible Devil Ducky racing down the L.A. River... "You can't see me, you can't see me!"
  6. The Hot-Rod Devil Ducky is on the move... Race on!
  7. Woohooo! Thanks for the very encouraging update. Simply knowing it is in the works (and that it isn't just me!) is enough. I am truly grateful for all the help and support provided by the Groundspeak Lackeys!
  8. Years? Hmmm... I don't think Team Snorkasaurus has been experiencing this problem for quite that long. Our Devil Ducky Derby Racer TBs have been racing for just a little over one year and we could correctly sort them by "Distance" and "Name" for some time before this issue became a problem for us. I would guess maybe 9 months ago? It kinda feels like years though. At any rate, I searched the forums for answers or explanations and came up empty handed. Maybe one of the awesome Groundspeak Lackeys will let us know if there is a fix in the works. I know they can't give exact deadlines, but maybe a confirmation that this is a known issue and not a permanent one would help assuage frustrations. (Go v2!) I will say that I am relieved to know it isn't just me! I am somewhat technologically challenged... Hah!
  9. I doubt these stats matter in this particular issue, but just in case... Windows XP Pro, IE7.0 I have tried the sort by "Distance" function on other browsers as well with the same incorrect results.
  10. When I click on "Travel Bugs (Mine)" and then sort by "Distance" the function does not work correctly. This function used to work great, but has been faulty for some time now. Will this ever work again? Current sort results in the following: 76822 48706 25322 11730 15126 21802 7519 5418 3376 9508 11140 5250 7298 6528 630 3346 2991 1720 949 2757 (etc...) The sort by "Name" function is similarly wonky. I used to use these two functions regularly and hope they will soon return to their correct functionality. Does anyone have any insight they can share? Is there a fix in the works? Assistance in this matter would be greatly welcomed!
  11. I understand the need to raise revenue so as to maintain and improve the Geocaching.com website; however, I personally greatly dislike the ads. I am pleased that access to the website remains free to those who cannot afford to pay for a Premium Membership. That said, I do wish that more people who can afford to pay would choose to do so, if only to support an activity they engage in and enjoy. I have long felt that the $3.00 a month charge for a Premium Membership is a huge bargain! I would be happy to pay significantly more per month to help support the website, especially if it meant I could continue to enjoy an ad-free environment. Maybe Groundspeak could raise revenue by creating a higher level of Premium Membership for folks who are willing to contribute more and wish to remain ad-free. Maybe $10.00 a month? Especially for Geocachers like me who use the site frequently, post LOTS of pictures and have numerous Travel Bugs... Why shouldn't I pay a bit more to support my personal use of the servers and database? I am not suggesting Groundspeak should raise the price of or remove any functionality from the current Premium Membership; instead, create a higher level of membership for those who are willing and able to support the site with a greater monthly fee.
  12. The Princess Ducky accompanied Team Snorkasaurus on a Disneyland geo-adventure today! Here is the Princess... ...and here is the Ducky!
  13. This image is once again NOT displaying. All I get is a little red "X" and "IPB Image". It is only this one image that seems to be having issues, all the other images in the threat are displaying fine...
  14. Revealing the TB's name is fine, but the tracking number should not be shown. I know it seems silly, but some people will inappropriately log a TB if the tracking number is shown in a photo. I usually turn the dogtag away from the camera before taking a picture; however, if I do accidentally get the tracking number in the shot it is easy to edit it out before posting the image online.
  15. The Blue Devil Ducky Derby Racer was fortunate enough to get a second awesome visit to the BIG Orange Travel Bug Convention Center (GCK8ZV). Huge THANKS to MaxB on the River for being a terrific Devil Ducky host! "Michigan Presidential Primary" Tour Shown are TB's: Captain Jack, Fastball Frank, Devil Duck Derby Racer: Blue, KDDidit's 2nd Silver Scout coin, Blue Lamb coin, Keepin up with the Bones, Stevie Pointer TB, George, GR8 Eyes Take Note, and Big Green Machine.
  16. Yeah, it is working fine for me now too... I could not get that one image to display, although all the other images in that thread were fine. Anyway, it is showing now. Bizarre! Thanks.
  17. That is wierd. I swear I only posted this topic once...
  18. The following is a link to a post in the Travel-Bug section of the forums: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...t&p=2769315 There should be an image associated with this post. The url to the image: http://img.geocaching.com/track/log/718b4b...ecc69acf805.jpg However, the page generates the following url instead: http://img.geocaching.com/track/log/displa...ecc69acf805.jpg Notice the extra "/display/". The image is no longer displaying correctly on the forum post. When I attempt to view the original image which was posted to a Geocache log, the image will sometimes appear and sometimes not; however, using the direct url (above without "/display/") to access the image works fine. The original Geocache log: http://www.geocaching.com/track/log.aspx?L...34-0a05519448a5 Is this a database issue? The image was not deleted. How do we fix this? Perhaps more importantly, is this a one time error or a larger problem effecting the website?
  19. The Red Devil Ducky meets a lumberjack while visiting Washington state.
  20. Here is a photo of the Orange Devil Ducky hiding out near Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Travel-Bug Party! Orange and his Travel-Bug pals had the good fortune to attend the UAE Cachers Get-Together, the first ever UAE Geocache Event.
  21. This function works perfectly for me using the IE browser, but not at all under the AOL browser.
  22. The Black Devil Ducky has enjoyed an impressive year earning both the Earth Ducky and Grand Prix awards as well as numerous lesser accolades. Congratulations and THANKS to Emandel for being an absolutely terrific Devil Ducky host! We can hardly wait to see what new geo-adventures await the Black Devil Ducky in 2008... Quack! Quack!
  23. Devil Ducky Derby Race Update: Happy New Year 2008! The first year of the Derby Race has been a fantastically huge success! The Devil Ducky Derby Racers have enjoyed many quacky adventures, traveled all over the United States and explored far-flung regions of the world. Our Ducky competitors have collectively traveled over 217,000 miles, a distance greater than 9 times the equatorial circumference of the Earth! Wowza! Our current top five competitors are: 1. Black - 76,822 miles 2. Green - 48,706 miles 3. Orange - 21,802 miles 4. Blue - 15,031 miles 5. Tattoo - 11,730 miles The Green Devil Ducky has the distinction of being the long-time holder of the highly revered Leap Frog award which was earned when he traveled 8,614 miles in a single leap! In last place, and with the dubious distinction of holding the Lame Duck award is the Pirate Devil Ducky with a paltry 138 miles. Let us not forget that Pirate was also the very first Derby Racer to claim the Grand Prix award and he has vowed to make it his again someday! Sincere THANKS to all of the wonderful Geocachers who continue to make the Devil Ducky Derby Race a terrifically fun success! Quack! Quack!
  24. The Leopard Devil Ducky caused a ruckus near the Houston Galleria and was subsequently sentenced to serve time in a Texas Travel-Bug Prison. Naughty Ducky!
  25. The Yellow Devil Ducky Derby Racer has apparently left Colorado...
