Thank you both for your input. To sort of further delve into my previous question:
1. Let's say that I want to go on two different hikes on the same day. Can I upload both of these tracks on the 60csx and view them without a problem? Correct me if I'm wrong but the 60csx stores 20tracks with 10000 trackpoints so I should have no problem opening the second one after I'm done with the first all without a computer?
EDIT: I just read info that tracks saved internally on the GPS (not SD) limits to 500 points, as well as not saving timestamp and elevation. So does that mean that my 2nd track would be compressed?
2. Does the 60csx actually know the difference between my own hike and the track log that I am following? Let's say red for the uploaded .gpx hiked by another user and black for the hike I am currently doing (following his).
3. When following a tracklog, I noticed the track points (.gpx I acquired) on Google Earth list specific lat/long coordinates. So if I go to the compass screen would the pointer (bearing or course) actually point to the next trackpoint or does this only work for marked waypoints?
One last question (sorry): Would it be overall just easier to have a transparent map overlay with both hike routes on the map (since they are very near each other) and then have the tracklog just record my own hiked path so I can compare with the one as the transparent overlay? I feel this would be easier but of course it would just be lines and no info of elevation change of any sort. If the info about 500 trackpoints is true on the 60csx I would seriously consider an oregon (since it saved 10k points w/ all info interally) but I hate the complaints of the display screen.
