I'm trying IE on a Win 7 machine, as well as a couple other browsers on an XP machine. Cannot set start or stop point. Seemed to be OK a few months ago...

I have a SporTrak map that won't power up. I disconnected the data cable during a firmware update, and now it will not power up. Is there a key sequence to force a power up?

I had the same problem, and even tho' I'd confirmed continuity, the cable was just ever so slightly flakey. I made up a new cable from the rear contacts to the DB-9 connector and all well now. BTW: have you tried disabling the COM1 port and reenabling it?

I have found an early post from jk erwin that did help very much. AND I don't mind spending some of my time to make a robust cable that will outlast the GPSr, UNLIKE the cable Magellan supplied...

I need to construct a new data cable for the Magellan SporTrak Map GPSr. Can anyone tell me the names of the 4 small electrical connection points on the rear of the receiver? Please specify as though looking down onto the back of the receiver, as normally held.
