  4. But theres no where in town that does laminating that I know of. I can do some checking. There was a shop here that did business card sized pieces for $11 CDN a few years ago. 3 cards @ $11 is to much for me to spend, but I will consideer it if I can find a store with cheaper prices. 5. quote: Hmmm... I kept going back and for for about 1/2 hour searching the same area over and over again expecting to find the cache.... temporary insanity perhaps! Temporary insanity? You've got to be kidding. Anyone that would give up everything to go geocaching, or to be the first to a new cache (including calling in sick to work ) Is fully insane. 7. I was thinking using little plastic sheets with the info for the next leg on it. The sheets would be about 4" by 3" or so, but I don't know how I would get the letering on them. I guess I could get some of that sign material left over from a shop in a town a short drive away. Any other suggestions on what to use? 8. quote: I called Magellan [1-800-707-9971] and they sent me the cable free of charge,The download was very easy to do,and its well worth the effort What did you say to them on the phone? none of the stores in town sell Magellan products anymore. 9. Hi Everyone. I'm a relatively new caches (3 finds, 2 hidden) and want to hide my first multi-cache. My plan if for a 3 or 4 stage multi where the seeker has to get the co-ords at each location to get to the final location. Any help will be greatly appreicated. 10. I thought the Mag 300 series was discontinued, but the local stores have been getting them in (mostly 315's) and selling them for full price. I asked a person that works in the sportsdept in Walmart and she said that they didn't sell GPSr's (I was standing right next to them) TJWilson Gander NF http://205.251.181.149/gaga My caching page "Make it idiot proof, and someone will make a better idiot"

    Sun Burn

Here in the Land of Newfie over the last few days it's been overcast and between -3°c and 3°c. Now, Wed, April 17, it's snowing! but we so far we've only got about 1 or 2cm, so it's not too bad. 15. I used the geocaching.com e-mail service and sent you my addy. Feel free to e-mail me. I don't know how much interest it will generate in good ole Newfoundland, but i'm willing to give it a shot. Sounds like a cool idea. I found out about the original too late to contribute :frown:, so for this one I think I might submit one of my sticker designs that I made up after finishing a test in math class back a while ago. We'll have to wait and see how it goes. TJWilson Gander NF http://205.251.181.149/gaga My caching page "Make it idiot proof, and someone will make a better idiot"

  17. very disgusting, but it's sad to see someone leave Geocaching because of one isolated incident not even remotely reltated to the cacher. 19. Peter, I'm not going o be able to place those caches after all. I was at the hospital last night for about 3 hours, they drew blood, did a throat swab, and some other tests to find that I have strep throat (spelling correct?). So now I have to take tylenol and advil on 3 hour rotating intervals, and some sort of antibiotic that I have to take 3 times a day and with food. I don't know how long this garbage will last, but as soon as I feel better I'll go out and place those caches to give you something to come out here for. I would have e-mailed this to you, but my e-mail program is not functioning within specified parameters. 22. If you wanted to wait a few days before trying the Silent cache, I should have it back up then in a small beef pail. It's here in my room ready, just need to mark the info on it and go to the locale. Me and my dad are going for your cache today, hopefully we'll find it as it will be my first. 23. hey, JP, I/m going to be heading out your way sometime this week. I also updated GC36A8 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=13992, so it now sould be easier to find, if you read the whole page, and take the hint with you. Good luck. 24. I just started writing a novel yesterday (the first big thing I've ever done) and came up with an idea. How about a traveling Gaocaching book, who's goal is to go to each state and province and spend about a month there? When you visit the book, log your name, website ID, and any contact info you want to list I.E. e-mail, snail mail, telephone, ect... Just a thought. What do you all think? also, what about a book composed of the funniest logs ever found, both on the site and in logbooks? Kind of a collective novel of people's writings. 25. I personally find this bickering to be trivial. Most, if not all, of us here are mature enough (or so I thought) to acknolowdege the fact that a cache owner has every right to make rules for approval opr whatever for their caches. I'm personally thinking of a virtual cache at the war graves in my town where there's a teenage couple buerried. My req. would be that the seeker has to e-mail me with the last names and date of death of the pair. Any posts made without my approval would be deleted, but only ater I e-mail the cacher and then wait for a period no less than 76 hours, or 3 days for the cacher to e-mail me the info. I do agree that it was the right of this cache owner to delete the log, but she should have waited at least 3 days after sending an e-mail asking for the info. TJWilson Gander NF
