Wenn man dem TB-Rescue Link folgt landet man inzwischen auf einer Seite für.....

Ich hab mir jetzt nicht alles durchgelesen, möchte aber fragen: Ist sicher gestellt, dass die "Zutritt verboten" Schilder auch befugter Weiße aufgestellt wurden? Wäre nicht das erste mal das sich gestört fühlende Anwohner einfach beliebige Verbote für z.B. Wege "erlassen" und eigenmächtig Schilder aufstellen. Das man Wiesen und Felder nicht als zufahrtswege benutzen sollte dürfte klar sein. Ich glaube auch nicht das es so gemeint war. Beim blosen betreten sehe ich bei einer Wiese erstmal keine großen Probleme, bei einem bestellten Feld schon eher (je nach Zustand). Ganz unproblematisch ist es bei Feldrändern oder sonstigen ungenutzten Flächen. Nur weil es einem Eigentümer nicht passt, darf er das betreten nicht untersagen. Und schon gar nicht begehst du Hausfriedensbruch. Dieses reflexartige "der Cache muss archiviert werden" kann ich absolut nicht unterstützen. Dafür sind hier viel zu wenig Umstände bekannt. Edit: Nachdem ich nun den Post von @GeoSixx vom 22.08.2019 gelesen habe, denke ich dass es absolut keinen Grund gibt den Cache zu archivieren. Man muss einen Cache nicht mit dem Auto erreichen können. Ich schlage dem TE vor seinen Needs Archive Log und auch den Needs Maintenace Log zu löschen, eine erklärende Note zu posten damit der Reviewer gleich weiß das die Angelegenheit hier gar keine ist, und sich das nächste mal schlau zu machen bevor man drauf los ballert, und nicht erst hinterher

Not at all in my oppinion. People are lazy an unpatient. It´s just a matter of time untill the stone wall will decay due to cachers impact.

nimm lieber diese hier : https://www.koordinaten-umrechner.de Da werden alle gängigen Formate abgedeckt. Dein Vorschlag hat wieder keine Dezimalminuten, sondern nur Sekunden. Mit deinen Koordinaten kommt man zu folgenden Ergebnissen

also so wie ich das verstehe hast du gar kein Problem Wenn du die Dezimal Grad aus Google Maps in das Cachelisting übernimmst tut das doch. Wozu die extra Arbeitsschritte zum umwandeln der Koordinaten? Dezimalgrad, also deine 9.11235 100.12345 sind nicht weniger präzise als Grad°Minuten, Dezimalminuten. Nur eben Grad° Minuten" Sekunden', das ist sehr grob und wird darum auch nicht von Geoaching beim Listing erstellen akzeptiert. Grund: Bei Sekunden lässt sich eine Bogenminute nur in 60 Sekunden aufteilen, also in Sechzigstel. Bei Dezimalminuten mit 3 Nachkommastellen lässt sich die Bogenminute in Tausendstel aufteilen, was natürlich wesentlich präziser ist. Bei Dezimalgrad mit 5 Nachkommastellen erreicht man die selbe Genauigkeit wie mit Dezimalminuten, sogar noch etwas feiner .

Hi! Wie wäre es denn mit einer Schritt für Schritt Problembeschreibung? Welches Gerät nutzt du, welche App? Womit öffnest du Google Maps und warum überhaupt? Welchen Converter nutzt du und wo willst du Grad°Minuten.Sekunden eintragen? Soviel vorab: Geocaching arbeitet nicht mit Sekunden sondern mit Dezimalminuten, vielleicht liegt es daran.

Also wenn man so wenig mit sich selber anzufangen weiß, solltest man vielleicht professionell saufen oder so

Ich mag ja so Threads in denen der Fragesteller die aktive Community triggert und sich dann komplett raus hält kurzer Blick in meine Statistic: Ich mag also Mysteries zu 78,9% weniger gern als Tradis Und ich bin mir sicher, würde ich die Bonuscaches von Tradis raus rechnen sähe das noch deutlicher aus. Das liegt aber nicht mal daran das ich Mysteries grundsätzlich doof finde. Ich habe sogar schon einige überragend gute gemacht, bei denen ich sehr viel Spaß mit der Lösungsfindung hatte. Leider war das aber der kleinste Teil. Brute force Rätsel oder oder D5++++ bei denen man nicht mah den Hau einer Ahnung hat wo anfangen kann ich leiden wie Zahnweh. Kurzer Blick in meine Homezone: Jo, da spiegelt sich genau das wieder. 74 ungefunde Caches, davon 51 Mystery. Ein weiterer Faktor der beim auslassen eine Rolle spielt ist schlicht die Zeit. Das Lösen von Mysts nimmt einf zusätzliche Zeit in Anspruch. Und wen man sich seine frei verfügbare Zeit eh schon einteilen muss, dann kommt rätsel lösen halt erst ziemlich arg weit hinten auf der Wunschliste.

I´m verry aware of this, thought about it as well. And yes, as long there is any way to cheat, people will use that way. But I´d asume, the number of fishy events would decline significantly since not so much people would choose to cheat by creating a fake account. I think it´s a problem for cometitive people and for purists. Some countrys are just hard to get by a real, physical find. And that´s why purists feel cheated when a cacher gets a hard country on a to easy, cheeky way.

Aaawwwww, not true. I guess that´s a suggestion: And I´ll stick with it. It´s the only way for a non secret service system like Geocaching to determine a no-real-event.

It´s not. Try to be not so digital. There is alway grey between black an white. I´ve never said that I find it a good or legit event when 2 cachers like a couple "meet". This is, as I mentioned, not the spirit of GC events. And of course not the intented way. But there´s no way for the system to determine whether the two (or 7 ) cachers met randomly or are traveling together anyway. I´m sure you understood, why I´m finding it pointless to have "attended" an event with nobody else there. And whilst haisplitting, I might bring to your attention that I´ve never suggested a thing here in this thread. I´ve just said:

No, of course not. I mean you were 7 individual cachers. Of course traveling together anyway, so this event was not exactely in the spirit of what a GC event should be. But at least kinda eventish. Just an owner (on a port or enywhere else) is not a event and should not be rewarded. Fullstop.

na, my not native english skills might bug you I tried to say that one can do a job, wich usually should be done by the CO to take this work load away from him at any certain cache. Better?

haven´t read the whole thread. But one more way could be to maintain a cache as a favour. I´m not meaning a throw down, or to put a aditional paper stripe into the moldy box. I mean cleaning up the existing cache. Sorting rotten swag and rubbish out, drying the logbook, cleaning the seal, remove dirt, replace a disfunctional pen or reenhance the camoflarge. Things like this, to realy clear the owner off a charge for this instance.

I doubt that. If you are using jelky or maramelade glasses or so, they will likely blast due the heat. Also the metal lids will become rusty in a outdoor environment real quick and the sealing will be compromised. As cheap and easy available they might be, they don't make a great cache container at all.

I think there´s absolutely nothing wrong with archiving intact caches. There are several good enough reasons to do so. Owners sometimes might have new ideas and make space for them. After a couple of years only tiring c/p log´s from random bypassers get anoying and the owner wants to get rid of them Loosing interest in the game an choose to archive before they fall abandoned and rott in the wild Noticing an impact on the surroundings Getting negative feedback from neighbours Having to much work to keep theyre owned caches in perfekt shape Getting sick of disrespectfull handling by cachers Finding a cache outdated Want to give the local community some fresh caches in the cache packed area ...... ....and many more. I like a fresh breese there and then better than never letting go a old thing. Letting a cache live on just for the sake of letting it live on is not worth it.

This cache is about 500 meters off the coast on a tiny island. Is my english to bad or are they realy stating that they were not even on the island the cache is on, but loged a found since they "spying this one from afar"? ? I´m more than staggered.

Seems like two bored kids, bothering each other in the sand box. None of the two parties have anything from this silly behaviuor beside wasting time and negative emotions. If you are really interested to restore fredom, be smarter, be stronger, and burry that dang gauntlet. Let it burried and log propperly (not just according to guidelines but also to comon sense and unwritten etiquette).

Sorry, my bad. It looked up the number via an app and there was an active "log it" button. So I thought it was the tracking number. Now after checking the functionality it does not work without putting the "real" tracking number.

@South_Stander You shall not post tracking numbers official. Use the reference number instead, to avoid people logging the TB without having it in they're hands.
