Are you really living in such a dark Geocaching world? I´m pretty sure that most cacher, experienced or nor, PM or not, will start reading the describtion at the latest when they hold a cache in theyre hands and start wondering how to get to the logbook. I don´t think that cachers, even if they don´t know what they are comming across, have an instant reflex to destroy this dang thing just to get to the logbook. Time will tell. I´d like to know about the health of your cache in a year or so. I´m pretty sure it will be fine and people are not so evil or stupid as expacted. Grats for you new Cache by the way!

Off Topic: Why is it that you guys don´t want to give away what caches you are talking about? I´m just curious.

Around here where I live it's a common thing to have field puzzle caches listed as traditionals. It always have been. I can't even think of a field puzzle cache, wich is posted at the given coordinates and listed as a mystery. I remember only one mystery cache far up in the north of Germany, where the final location was at the listed coordinates. But that was the nature of this cache and I found it funny. There was a sign post full of numbers and I had to fill in a big formula. The result was the listing coordinates and after half an hour of math, I found the cache in the top of the sign post. Would have been pointless to have this listed as a traditional.

Ok, here´s the most "dangerous" one I`ve done in the las few weeks. Unfortunaly a DNF, but i reached GZ. GC4JQH9 Not like outstanding dangerous if one knows what he is doing there. But still beats every single one on the funny list above. Glacier crossing, steep ice face, unprotected ridge climbing and a hair thin peak.

@Cool22008 Wow, you´ve just revieved an ageas old thread. I´m not about to go through your list, since links or GC-codes are missing. But the first one "The Leap".... dude, if this is #1 I´m not keen to see how average the others are The Leap might be a bit sketchy, but I have done way more dangerous stuff caching. Don´t forget, there are tons of climbing, diving, caving, mountaineering cahes out there requiring much more commitment, specialized skills and tools. A sketchy jump alone doesn´t make a cache dangerous. And for sure not the most dangerous.

Maybe he/she didn't recognise because most PMO Caches are just as lousy as most of the free to find ones.

If it´s not done for the sake of being remote, but to show a really awsome place in the remotenes, I´d say go for it!

just came along a cache in alpine terrain, wich has 11 found logs. 5 of them are clearly bogus, 3 of the are to doubt because it would be unlikely to find this cache during winter. So 2 or maximum 3 found logs out of 11 are legit. What a shame.

Ich bin mir sicher wenn du beim Hersteller 1.000.000 Petlinge bestellst dann bekommst du die auch zum selben Preis wie die Getränkeindustrie. Selbst wenn du "für Geocaching" auf die Bestellung schreibst. Wenn du aber 10 Stück kaufen möchtest, die wiederum irgendwer in größerer Menge gekauft hat, die Logistik dafür umlegen muss, die Dinger einzeln in die Hand nehmen und zehn abzählen (oder eine Maschine kaufen die das für ihn tut) muss, die separat verpacken muss, ein Ladenlokal oder zumindest eine Webseite und ein Lager betreiben muss, die Bestellung abwickeln muss, den Zahlungsfluss und Kundenkontakt managen muss,...... und das ganz dann auch nicht nur machen will um die Zeit rum zu bekommen. Was dann? Nennt sich Kalkulation.

Nein ist es nicht. Der Wortlaut schränkt das in SH auf " Öffentlichkeit gewidmete Straßen, Wege und sonstigen Flächen und Privatwege (private Straßen und Wege aller Art) sowie Wegeränder" ein. Im Bundesgesetzt sind alle nicht genutzten Grünflächen genannt. So dachte ich auch. Aber das ist in diesem Fall scheinbar anders. Das Bundesgesetzt erteilt ausdrücklich jedem das Recht, ungenutze Günflächen zu betreten. SH schränkt dieses Recht ein. Das ist keine Erweiterung einer Einschränkung, sondern ein Verbot von etwas, das per Bundesgesetzt erlaubt sein muss. Aber wie gesagt, ich bin kein Jurist.

naja, ein befriedetes Grundstück im Wohngebiet ist ja nochmal was anderes, aber danke für den Schmunzler. Ich mag Überspitzungen. Danke auch für deine ausführliche Erleuterung. Ich verstehe zwar immer noch nicht wie ein Landesgesetz einen Grundsatz auf Bundesebene aushebeln kann, aber das liegt vermutlich an meiner mangelnden Expertise. Gelernt habe ich auf jeden Fall, das man sich in Schleswigholstein auch wirklich nur im Wald aufführen darf wie eine Axt im Walde

Eine Wiese ist im Winter z.B. auch eine ungenutze Grünfläche. Man muss schon schauen wo man mit seinem Verhalten Schaden anrichtet und wo nicht. Einen Acker der im Moment brach liegt würde ich auch betreten, kommt halt immer auf die aktuellen Bedingungen an. Denken im Einzefall ausdrücklich erwünscht! Und Randstreifen halte ich für komplett unproblematisch, daruf bezog sich auch miene Antwort an GerandKat.

@GerandKat ok, Danke. Ich bin jetzt kein Anwalt. Und auch kein Nordlicht. Aber wie ist das bitte mit geltendem Bundesnaturschutzgesetz §59 Absatz 1 in Einklang zu bringen? Das Betreten der freien Landschaft auf Straßen und Wegen sowie auf ungenutzten Grundflächen zum Zweck der Erholung ist allen gestattet (allgemeiner Grundsatz).

@frostengel Und es gibt auch in meinem Logverlauf 49 NM & 20 NA Logs. Alle (hoffentlich wirklich alle) mit ausreichend begründeter Historie. Also ich bin auch kein Weggucker

Naja, im Wortlaut steht da aber halt einfach "der Cache sollte archiviert werden". Das lässt irgendwie wenig Spielraum für Interpretation. So wie du dein Vorgehen im Falle des Naturschutzgebietes schilderst wäre es auch hier der richtigere Weg gewesen. Aber im Prinzip gebe ich dir Recht. Lieber vorbeugen als auf die Schuhe kotzen nur die Wahl der Mittel sollten eben der Situation entsprechend erfolgen.
