  1. I see you're from the south... I'm guessing you've never noticed the abundance of red train cabooses out there? We only have one up here in MN that I know of, but when I lived in TN, it seemed like every other bar or restaurant in the area had a train caboose in the front yard. Maybe that's why we hardly ever see a caboose attached to an actual running train anymore. But anyhow, I'm rambling... A red caboose hide is usually a magnetic key holder attached somewhere on a caboose. Not in this case ,its takes you to the back of a Cvs drug store, ain't no cabooses back there, I'll try again but sounds like a big cache container. GC272G9

  4. dfx , Thanks again! You have helped me several times with this new gps. I did what you said and by golly I got my caches loaded. New sport for me I learned about it in a magazine called BCM (bus conversion mag) Thought this would be an interesting thing to do as I travel with my converted Silver Eagle Bus.Stop at a new place and go hunting.Want to know this Gps well so as to enjoy the hunt. Kinda like makin sure your rifle is sighted in.
  5. So I do a PQ and use Easygps to try and download the file that was e-mailed to me. Easygps finds the file okay,I set it at 200 finds. It comes up okay I tell it send to gps and thats where it dies, nothing no error messages . If I use the Garmin plugin through Internet Explorer I can load one cache at a time from the geocaching site, so there is communication between the computer and GPS, just having issues with a mass load to oregon 450. Is there a different program to use other than Easygps ? Thanks, I get there eventually
  6. Thanks , Just what the doctor ordered!
  7. Somewhere on one of the forums I read something about a geocaching brochure, that someone carried with them to provide info to those unaware of the sport especially when seeking permission to place a cache.Anyone got an idea where so I can copy it. Thanks

  9. I just bought a oregon 450. Does anyone know if I purchase the City Navigator NT North America micro sd card, will the unit then do a turn by turn directions, to get to the general area. Expensive sd card if it won't. Is there a book or manual other than the garmin one that perhaps goes into better details on all of the capabilities of this unit. With the city navigator software I would assume I could use it like my car Nuvi. Thanks for any input! New at this sport ( an old fart too need guidance) ED
