  1. Thank you! I have been juggling devices because I could never figure this out on my phone. Can't ' wait to try it out this weekend - there's a multi in Philly waiting for me!
  2. OK - it finally showed up on desktop! Woo hoo! Maybe it just isn't getting a consistent, solid connection with the cord?
  3. The thing Ican't figure out is why nothing happens. It doesn't show up on the desktop and I get no message. I have used a PC without the card I am not getting a message or icon on desktop. I am wondering if there could be an issue with the cord. I am noticing that sometimes when connected it does not always register that the unit is plugged into a computer. For example, right now it is plugged in but flipping between the laptop icon and initial screen I see when I turn it on. Does that seem like a reasonable explanation for why it is not showing up?
  4. Thank you - this confirms that it is possible. I've done what the description says though and it does not show up on the desk top. If I understand correctly, a microSD card is not necessary. I thought maybe that was the issue. I think I will try to reach out to someone at Endura. Thank you for trying to help!
  5. I am embarrassed to be so dense but I do not see any setting that is related to making this happen. With everything else I plug into the MAC, it just shows up as an external (kinds like a flash drive does). What am I missing? Thanks for any guidance you can offer!
  6. Hi, I am wondering if Lowrance and MAC computers are compatible. I have the Endura model. When I plug the unit into my MAC, it doesn't even show up on the desktop. Thanks for any advice!
  7. I am so psyched! I posted a question this afternoon and just got off the phone with Endura Expert who walked with through the steps! Yes, that's right...I posted a question and actually had someone who was willing and able to help me. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Endurance Expert! Woo hoo! I am ready to explore! If you are running a PQ (Pocket Query) you will need to limit the number of caches to 500. We are currently working on a fix to the 500 cache limit. Then download and save your PQ to your computer. Plug your Endura into your computer, drap and drop the PQ .GPX file into the GPX folder on your Endura drive. Unplug and start geocaching. Please let me know if you have any other questions or issues. There is a GSAK macro that will take a larger file and break it up into smaller fillies of 500 each. I successfully combine several PQs, totaling 3,500 caches, then run them through the GSAK macro and it gives me a bunch of 500 cache files to drag into the Endura. Like these??? I had a similar problem when i got mine out of the box 10 days ago. Here is what I found and I hope this helps. When you install the Garmin software that allows you to transfer the gpx file to your handheld , it goes into a folder within the handheld that is called garmin. Since you do not have a garmin, you need to go into the garmin folder, then into the gpx folder, and copy the gpx file. Once you have copied it, back you way out to the opening folder and click on the folder simply labled Gpx. Paste the Gpx file in this folder and voila! all works now. Feel free to email me if you do not understand my explanation and i will try to do an actual step by step walk thru for you.
  8. ok, got the pocket query to the GPS. Wasn't able to make it happen on the Mac but I can deal with the PC for now. I used Easy GPS. Here's the glitch...The query has logs when I view it on Easy GPS but they did not travel to the GPS. Any idea how to adjust that? Again, thanks for any advice! 9. Having a reply so soon gives me hope! The issue seems to be that the unit is not showing up anywhere on the desktop - I have checked a Mac and PC. If I did it correctly, I sent you my phone number. If you didn't receive it, let me know. Thanks! If you are running a PQ (Pocket Query) you will need to limit the number of caches to 500. 10. I am new at geocaching and this is my first post on the forum. I hope this is the right place to place this question. I have been trying to figure out how to download to the Lowrance Out and Back for hours, have been looking through the forums, and am not sure what else to do. I keep thinking I SHOULD be able to figure this out but the reassurance is not bringing any answers The manual says plug and in and an icon will show up. It seems like I should be able to drag the gpx file to the Endura icon. NO icon is showing up. I've tried a Mac and PC and am striking out! I leave for vacation tomorrow and want to include geocaching. I did a pocket query but can't get it to the unit. Do I need software or should the be able to happen right from geocaching.com to the handheld? Any help is appreciated!
