  1. I am trying to figure out this puzzle. Says they have 13 fruits only 12 listed. Need to find missing one for the cache coords. I know you can't answer but give me an example maybe? Don't Coordinates have 14 digits (7 North and 7 East)?
  2. HHL where can I find that app? I can't find it in iphone app store. Thank you.
  3. I am trying to make a spreadsheet of all my finds. Listing the “GC” number and date found. I can not view archived ones.
  4. If you become a premium member there is a box to check "hide my finds"
  5. I am looking to add the statistical data that goes in the profile of Geocaching.com. I searched the forum for a couple days and could not find the thread. If someone can point me in the right direction.
  6. I got one thing against people taking all the TB's. (let the mudslinging commence). 1. If I look on the inventory and 5 travel bugs are listed. 2. Pack my kids up and head to the cache. 3. Get there and they are all gone.. 4. Disappointment sets in. Granted different people took of taken one at a time by the time I get there. But inventory shows 5 TBs and there are only 2 log entries at the cache. I am thinking one person took all five or the other person took what was ever left.
  7. Can we see a picture of it??
  8. I see there is a plug on the back for an AC/DC adapter. Can I use this port to upload coords to the GPS? I scanned over the manuel, but it was reading a french novel. Now some of you might be able to read French-but none of it made sense to me.. I basically just use the coordinates sceen when I go out. Sometimes I will use the compass, but I have to be moving for it to register.
  9. Check out the post called "New here by Stoffers". He already asked that question and got alot of answers.
  10. You found that stuff with a metal detector? Or was it in a cache??
  11. Welcome to the world of geocaching. TB= Travel Bug. You find an item in the cache that has a "mission" then you track the number on Geocaching.com that you moved the item along. See travel bugs on the GC website. TFTC= Thanks For The Cache. TFTF = Thanks For The Find FTF = First to Find SL = Signed Log TNLN = Took Nothing Left Nothing I hope this gives you a start. Others will probally add more.
  12. I have been searching the area for some time now. I just can't find it. I was thinking of using a metal detector to find it. I am thinking maybe it was muggled?
  13. The only thing with buying a standard travel bug is: You can only use the number for one item. The original poster would need to buy (5) travel bug numbers. One for each of his/her coins.
  14. Thanks everyone for the info. I read the links. Let me see if I got it straight. 1. I get a CG tracking number 2. I "dip" it in the cache 3. Log the find on the cache owners page 4. Log the find on the coins page.
  15. I am new to CG. I have a challenge coin from my old ship. I don't want it to be a TB. I want to dip it in the cache and out. How can I log this? Would I just log it as a find and write a note in the online log?
  16. I used to be able to click on the map and open it up. Then it would show all the caches. I am talking about the map in the lower right corner of the cache pages.
  17. I see in logs where people phoned other people who found it. How does someone get that information? There are some caches that I can really use some help with.
  18. I was thinking of making some signature items. What if they get used as trade items by some one else?
  19. When I signed up I picked a user name. Then I made an account for my son. I was going to log our finds separtly. Then I started logging all our finds on my sons' name. I don't need mine. PS they are both basic accounts.
  20. Would I be able to let people know to contact me on this forum?
  21. When the cache page comes up it gives the coordinates to the cache, but not distance to the cache. When my friend uses his account (basic also) it does for him. He doesn't remeber having to enter them anywhere in his profile.
  22. I said searching for a heart of gold. I couldn't think of who sang it.
  23. both of which are common words. rather than search through 26,470,280 results, a few words rather than a rtfm response would have been nice. i gathered what it was from one of the other replies from people that didn't have a holier than thou attitude. thanks anyway. What does rtfm mean? Is it something you can't post here?? Regarding Flat Stanleys'. Even though there maybe other Stanleys out there; they are different because of different TB and likeness?
  24. Someone correct me if I am wrong. If you did that, it would be like releasing two of the same TB numbers. You can use the TB after removing the decal from the car.
  25. Sorry if this is a repost. I know the caches come in: micro, small, regular and large. Nothing to specific. It's just so I have an idea of what size container I am looking for. I know an ammo can is large. But how small is a small, regular or micro?
