With the exception of 2 of the 10, a couple will be ebayed for GCF to help them raise funds and a couple will be used for the auction/raffle/whatever, and a few left in a secret locations for lucky finders I may leave one in a cache if I have time to go out and get one while I'm there The 10 made are nontrackable and the back engraving letters show: GCF 08 'YINZ' Suppose to be here next week some time Ok. We had a great time at the Pittsburgh 888 event. We were able to purchase the Pittsburgh version of the coin. They turned out awesome! .....Anthus

Yes. I worked it out with the coin broker so that you will be able to get up to an extra 6 characters on the front of the coin for an extra fee -- this will be an option item so only those wanting the extra characters will need to pay the extra fee. No more than 12 characters can fit on the coin and the font may be a little smaller. I'm hoping to open up ordering within the next couple of days. ....Anthus

Mission complete! We thought we'd complete our mission while we were out and about today. I made up a sign, hopped in the car and down the road I figured out I left the sign at home. I came back home and got the sign. We hit the first place, snapped the picture and ducked around to the next isle, purchased our items, and left for site number two. Got to site number two and discovered my agent recruit (aka daughter #1) threw my sign away at the last site -- back to agent school for her. She thought we were done with the mission. So, all we got was the one shot. She only took one pic at site one. Thank goodness it was a good one. Thanks GSA for the mission! We had a lot of fun doing this. The girls went out to get the mail for me today but there wasn't anything in the mailbox. This was very strange as we always get some kinda mail. I took the girls to gymnastics. When we got back home, I decided to just check the mailbox again because it was rare that we didn't get mail. Sure enough, the mailman must have been running late this afternoon. In there was an envelope to me/from me with the Angel's sticker on the front!! Thanks so much Geocaching Angel. I will truly treasure your coin. ...Anthus

Sorry. They charge .27 cents per coin per 6 letter engraving. So that is why the 6 letter limit. I guess we could hold a vote to see if the majority is willing to pay the extra fee per coin to get 12 letters on the front. I also need to see if 12 letters will fit on the front. Another option would be to put both sets of 6 letter engravings on the front with no engraving on the back. I'll be sending out an email to the group members to see what the majority wants to do. Wow we won! I've been pretty busy lately coding up the registration web application for GCF08 and haven't been able to browse these forums too much lately. I got an email from Crowsfeet30 saying I won and had to go back through this thread. I really enjoyed all the pics. Hopefully this thread can continue.
