  1. I actually have another UK coin that I'm more than happy to sell. The only reason I haven't listed it is because I'm not sure whether it would appeal to people as it has my username engraved on it - as you can see in the following picture. It also has a small scratch/dent mark (which you can see in the insert) just above the 'p' near the centre. If however, anyone would consider buying this one then please let me know and I'll get it on eBay asap.
  2. Thanks for the suggestion of putting this on the main forum - I popped a link on and have had some interest (and purchases) from the US, so much appreciated. Cheers!
  3. One of my friends has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and I'm selling my unactivated Geocoins to raise funds for them. Please see this thread over in the UK forum for details. Thank you for looking.
  4. Hi All, First off, I'd like to thank our reviewers for allowing me to post such an obvious plug for some of my own eBay Geocoin auctions. They've very kindly allowed me to get away with this as a one off as I'm trying to raise funds for one of my friends who has been diagnosed with cancer. I'm selling my unactivated Geocoins for what are probably over the top prices, but I'm hoping that people will bear the circumstances in mind and bid generously. Thank you for looking. EDIT - just crossing off the sold coins and wanting to say thank you to everyone for their generosity.
  5. Another huge thanks from here to the Cryptik Souls Crew as I got the coin in the post this morning - cheers. This might be another one heading for Scotland too as I'm probably going up to Edinburgh next weekend and will drop it while I'm there... unless of course anyone wants me to drop it somewhere (easy to get to from the Motorway) between Liverpool and Gretna on the way.
  6. Perfect example! And a great cache too
  7. How would this work with say, an Earthcache? You set off for the cache with someone else, obviously arrived at the same time as that person, collected the info together etc... With no physical box to 'find' as such then who would be FTF? Surely it's simultaneous, and what if about 20 people all went together at an event...!
  8. But the allegation was specific to record runs where time is of the essence. Please keep the discussion ON TOPIC. Perhaps it's that some caches are just badly hidden to start with and are therefore far more prone to muggling whether during record attempts or not. I dare say that replacing a cache in a hurry *could* be a factor, but then surely we've all been guilty of that at some point. Have you never had to replace a cache quicker than you would have liked when a muggle has appeared unexpectedly from round a corner and proceeded to just hang around? Caches get muggled all the time, it's a fact of the game sadly, but it's crazy to start blaming it all on record attempts or people finding high numbers in a day.
  9. Personally I'm quite grateful to the FTF'ers in my area. I'm more than happy for them to rush out to grab them... along with any teething problems that may occur with a new cache... Dodgy Co-ords? Great - just wait for a few more finds/DNF's and it'll get sorted and save me wasting my time looking 100' away 'cos someone's made a typo! No Clue? Great - let some other, er... 'suckers' log a few DNF's and it'll probably get one added and be made a lot easier! Impossible Puzzle? Great - once one person's worked it out then blah blah blah... ah, you get the idea... So yes, thanks to the FTF'ers and good luck to 'em!
  10. I tend to treat any puzzle caches I set as a 'Treasure Hunt' kind of thing and don't give any clues or help until after the FTF. After that it's pretty much a given that the answer's going to get shared around... and to be honest, by that point if anyone's really struggling and getting annoyed by it, I'd be quite happy for them to just email me for the co-ords and treat it like a trad (a sentiment shared by at least one other puzzle setter that I know of). Caches are there to be found...
  11. If you're in the city centre and 'doing the sights' while you're there, then a good cache to do would be 'Grute Met' (GCRNQG) as to takes you to some of the popular ones. It is a multi, but if you're going to those places anyway... plus the stages are all quite close together.
  12. I'd recommend the multi 'AMS1 Naar Vriendschap Zulk Een Mateloos Verlangen' (GCX2AJ) - partly because it's an interesting mini tour and partly because it's one of the few caches that I could read that isn't a micro. It's still quite small, but there's room for small TB's/Coins if you're planning on dropping any off while there. Having said that, the last two logs are DNF's... might be worth keeping an eye on.
  13. This thread/situation is a perfect example of why I hardly ever post on the forums.
  14. If it's the UK ones I think it's here... http://www.gccoins.com/UK2active.php
  15. Just another quick note to say thanks to all who helped - my bug's now on his way again. Cheers!
  16. That's great, many thanks for your help. Cheers! ac-p
  17. Hi there, I don't know if anyone can help, but I've been trying to contact a cacher/cachers called 'Team Joyson' for over a year now as they've had one of my TB's in their possession for all that time. I've tried contacting them through their profile (which is still active and was accessed within the last few days) but haven't had any response. I can only assume they may have changed their email but not updated the GC site. Does anyone know them at all - I think they're from somewhere in Oregon? If so, if someone could get in touch and mention I've been trying to contact them about this it'd be much appreciated. Cheers! ac-p

    Anyone In Oklahoma?

Good news! I'm not sure if anyone managed to get in touch with the people who had my bug, but if they did I just wanted to say a huge thanks to them as my bug was dropped off today! Cheers!

    Anyone In Oklahoma?

Well that would make sense - mine was started in Italy and wanted to get back to the UK... I think it was only taken to Oklahoma by mistake. It may still reappear with a bit of luck!
  21. Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone in Oklahoma knows of a cacher called 'Lucifer Sam'? I've been trying to get in touch with them as they've had hold of one of my Travel Bugs since last year and their GC.com registered email address is bouncing things back at me. If anyone knows them, then any help contacting them would be very much appreciated! Many Thanks ac-p
  22. An FTF on Pieman's new cache... that was pretty cool!
  23. Got mine today - they look great! Thanks for all the work that's gone into them. Cheers!
  24. Happy Christmas and thanks for the help and advice over the past year. Cheers!
  25. Will do, but I dare say it'll be me having a play with it first so I can teach 'em how to use it!
