  1. Ohhh, I'm going to need a couple. This would be a great birthday gift for my sister.
  2. I've got a trip to Arkansas and one to Montana this summer. I was thinking of the geocaching possibilities today. A little scared of the ones in Arkansas as I'm highly allergic to poison ivy. Still gonna risk it though.
  3. I've preordered this sword in each color. I'm amazed at some of the work that goes into designing some of these coins. They're all so incredible.
  4. I'm new to the boards. I would have loved a couple of these. Very cool design. My list of coins owned is still under 10. These would have made it a very magnificent under 10 collection, don't you think.
  5. Wow, I just went to my profile. I definitely qualify as a lurker. I've been signed up for 4 years and this will officially be my 2nd post and have officially visited a whopping 2 caches. 2 we found and a 3rd we didn't find because they had taken it in for maintenance and hadn't posted that it was gone. It's official, I'm a lurker no more.
  6. So... Welcome to the Forums - stop lurking and come introduce yourself to us today! My name is Amy and I'm a new lurker and one of the newly geocoin obsessed. My husband signed us up with an account on here some time ago, not sure when. I'm in the Greater Seattle Area of Washington state. I'm planning on caching a lot more on my own. I've gone 3 times with my husband, John, and our 2 girls. What a blast! I've found that if I wait for everyone else to want to go with me I never go. So, my new motto is, "Pooh on them!" Bad mommy, I know. I've got a friend that's interested in trying this with me. I've got 6 geocoins in the mail to me and another 3 for birthday gifts for my sister in alaska. All I have to do now is pry the GPS out of my husbands hands. My parents gave it to "us" as a Christmas gift a few years ago, but I have yet to touch it. Yes, John is king of the remote and the GPS. My question is: How do you release a coin? Can you drop it in anyone's cache or do you need to place one of your own? I've seen several on sale that I was thinking of purchasing to release. With them being so inexpensive I'm not worried so much about it being lost. I know that once you release it it's going to eventually be lost. I may be "the finder of all things lost" in my home, but I know that doesn't hold true for the coin once it's released. I've got ammo cans ready to place one of my own caches, but I'm not quite ready yet. I need a dozen or so more finds before I really know what to do to place my own. One of the coins I've got en route is a proximity coin. How do I know if there are others in the area I want to place my cache? Dang, that's 2 questions. Was there a limit for this contest? Son of a gun that's a 3rd question. So, it's a big Howdy to all of you and you're down one less lurker.
