  1. Back in the day, when I repaired industrial electronics I used to use two products. First I'd go with Tarn-X, the polishing stuff. It is a thin solvent but polishes brass and other circuit board connections. Use a Q-tip. Don't get it on any components, probably won't hurt but I'm not sure. Second is Flitz, it's a metal polishing compound, use it on a Q-tip and buff the area with it. Get it at police supply or gun shops. By the way, Hows your 310 doing, I have one that's pretty much blind. It doesn't see any satilites. I'd try a firmware upgrade but haven't found one yet. Anyway hope I've helped, be careful, don't spill anything on the circuits. David, in Walker, La.
  2. A daily WMA permit is also needed, even for birdwatching, sightseeing, camping and such. Might want to check it out in the hunting or fishing pamplets or go to http://www.wlf.state.la.us/apps/netgear/in...=lawlf&pid=1053 Sorry I haven't mastered links yet. Sherburne is my stomping grounds, been hunting there since 1990, wanna do a team effort? There also is some pretty old benchmarks there too. By the way Beast of Traal, your puzzle on B.O.B. was a booger for me, that is until my wife attacked it. We've come up with two possibilities, we'll try the most likely pretty soon. Thanks dude...David
  3. Just a curious thought, Has anybody planned a vacation primarily around caching? Maybe I'm getting hooked on this stuff too hard but it seems like a good idea to me. Your thoughts?
  4. Get a job working in the offshore oil patch. That's where I am right now. I'll have 2 weeks off to go caching starting Jan 11. Plus the money is ok. Just my 2 cents
  5. I am in the planning stage of my first cache placement. I want it to be a hum-dinger. Don't really care about the cost either, within reasonable limits. Maybe 5 $10 bills in it, or walmart gift cards, plus other stuff. A friend and I thought of maybe a game like lawn darts or horseshoes to be used at the park that it would be hidden in, and put back into the cache afterwards. What are some goodies yall like to find, give me some input. Cache might cost $50 or so. Just curious...
