Thanks to all you wise geocachers, your advice is well appreciated. The majority opinion is to upgrade for PC connectivity. That is what I will do.

So I'm a newbie. I got Magellan Explorist 200 handheld unit. Haven't taken it out of the packaging yet. Should I exchange it for some other / better GPS unit, or open it w/o further delay and get caching?
