  1. Thanks for adding the babe but you missed mom and dad. Sorry for being a pain.
  2. Origanally sent in for one of the kids, mom and dad figured we would also join in. Also should include the babe as he is the one usually pocketing the coins. I figure the origanal e-mail should be good but if you need me to email you again just let me know. 3. We did one a while back where the host posted 12 one digit numbers and you had to figure out his birthdate. You were allowed to use only info you could find on the forum, 2 people had to post a guess between multiple guesses. The main issue is you had 4 numbers to many so it was a mix of what info you could find and then a process of elimination by you and the others.
  4. We would love to take part in this as it seems very affordable for an 8 year old, sent you the email. Thank you
  5. Thank you I just wasn't sure if I was going about it the wrong way or if it was just a life in the way thing. I am always very careful of double checking things before submitting so I don't normally have to figure out how to fix it. Thanks again and sorry for the error.
  6. My son asked with our first one if we could put a lotto ticket, so this is what we have been doing ever since.
  7. Guess I will wait a bit longer, it just seemed weird that I had no answer yet.
  8. This is what I have done a few times over the last week and no reply, which is why I was just thinking of redoing it with the correct coords and archiving the old one.
  9. I find the Sharpie Pens that are out now and don't bleed through are the best.
  10. When I went to change it the site gave m ea link and it was to message him through the website so I have now done that a few times. So I guess it would have been e-mail but it is what the site prompted me to do.
  11. I would love to get one or two of these bags if there are any left.
  12. I need an opinion on this one as I am not sure what is frowned at when it comes to this. I recently posted a cache and after it was published was getting DNF's about coords being off. When I went and checked it the coords were way off due to a type when I entered them. Now to change the coords I need the reviewer to do it cause of the distance but I am not getting any answer and it has been almost a week and 3 emails. Would it just be easier to archive the wrong one and make a new one with the right coords?
  13. We always grab trackables and move them along, my son thinks this is the best part of the sport. He doesn't even worry about swag most of the time and has started dropping CITO containers in most caches we visit. We do this mainly so the owners can see that they are still out there and not MIA.
  14. My 8 year old son just recently dropped 2 coins out in the wild. One was an achievement coin that was engraved with the info for that achievement in the spot on the coin provided. The second was a cool pumpkin coin that we had his caching name engraved on, not the easiest to see on this one. We figure anything will help mark it so it is less likely to go MIA. We also warned him what could happen and I am sure I asked him about a million times before even putting them in the car if he was sure. I then also as he was putting them in the caches asked him another couple times. He just keeps saying "Isn't that what they are for Mom, and if someone who is not playing fair takes them then we will have to replace it." Sometimes kids see it way clearer than adults, he is also a huge fan of moving others and states he is doing it the right way everytime.
  15. We only have a few caches out but my rule for my son is that any caches we can't check on regularly have to be log only caches. This way we can check on them monthly and usually log only caches require less attention.
  16. When is the deadline for this? My son wants to take part but mom sucks at this and dad will be home within the next few days.
  17. Did an event this weekend and got them all dropped by Friday night. Good luck and thanks for letting the boys help you out.
  18. We are willing to help out if anyone is looking for a drop zone in Edmonton Alberta Canada. We try to get out most weekends and can also drop as far west as Jasper since hubby works that way.
  19. My son bought himself a GC and wants to send it on a mission. This is fine with me (it is his) but I am trying to find a way to make it less likely to go MIA. I was thinking of engraving his ID on it like we have done others but our engraver is concerned the finish on this one will not allow it or get wrecked in the process. It is the Oct 2009 Geocoin Club Coin (pumpkin spewing pathtags), if anyone has any ideas or has tried engraving this one the info would be greatly appreciated. TIA
  20. We had one in our area recently be archived that we would have gladly taken responsibility for. It's to bad some of those old ones go to the wayside cause of something that simple.
  21. We have a bunch of this type of cache around this area. Possibly out before this rule came into effect but I think they are kinda neat.
  22. Nice to hear, the first thing I get to do in the morning is look for somewhere to go. I need to get it done ASAP as he wants to drop the coin the next time he goes out. Yes we won't go into the coin/engraving for him to put it out in circulation, his coin his choice. In his head getting his name on it will make it less likely for someone to nab, also MOM that is what they are for. He stated he also get to keep the pin no matter what so it is OK, lol.
  23. Well I think he would love to have all three pieces of info on there. I must say good luck to the engraver as I think the area given is to small to house all that but we will see.
  24. Thank you I was thinking of having the GC# put on already, guess it all depends if the engraver can get both our name and the #. Now to find somewhere in my are that does that, may have to go to the city but we will see.
