Downloaded the App on Android, and how odd, seems that a premium sub via the google play store is 23.17 a year with auto renew, as opposed to 24.99 with GS. Is there any particular reason for this?

They've still not answered this, and with the dropping of Windows Phone support, they've lost 30 dollars a year (24.99 inc VAT) from me from now. Thanks GS, was fun while it lasted. I loved caching, but having to buy a new GPS/Phone to make use of features that I'm paying for as a Premium User as well as seeing this means that I'll find another hobby.

I'm disappointed with this, had a Windows Phone for 18 months, and looks like I either change phone again, which I'm not discounting as I think Microsoft have really dropped the ball with Windows 10 on phone, or go GPS, which makes logging in the field a pain. Groundspeak are happy for me to have a subscription, but if I'm not on a supported platform, then I don't really get any benefits.

I got my 100th cache today, part of a trail I'd been meaning to do for a while, but never found the time. Next milestone is my first US cache. Hoping to get that in Vegas soon. After that its to place my first cache.

I'm glad its not just me that enjoys it! I'm hoping to get some U.S. based caches next year, as I'm there for 3 weeks in NV and FL. Have already begun trying to set up PQs and having an excuse to go caching, as the girlfriend isn't a big fan.

I attempted the Calverton/Woodborough circular series today, and had a fantastic time, just walking in the countryside with the dog, met a few muggles on the way, went places I never knew existed despite only living 10 miles away, and I really got the feeling that this was what was intended when geocaching started. So for all the cache owners and maintainers, thank you very much for making this possible.

Agreed, really appreciate what they offer for the hobby. My little girl loves coming out and cacheing with me, wants to set her own up, and is a real help when we're out in the field. This has really helped her see the outdoors as something to do rather than be endured, and for that, I thank you!
