  1. Ooops. ALready guessed that. Sorry.
  2. I like it and am looking forward to seeing the actual coin (and I've greatly curtailed my coin buying).
  3. Hi-- I didn't mean to sound terse at all. If you go to the Wikipedia and look up Methodist Church, there is a link to the information about their "Cross and Flame" logo and its copyright information. My old Lutheran church had a similar logo, but the one you've got looks very close. I doubt the Church would care about any potential copyright infringement, but Groundspeak might frown on it. You'd have to ask. I like the coin, though.
  4. The image on the coin is a copyrighted image. It was copyrighted by the Methodist Church in 1971. You probably can't use it on a coin.
  5. I'll always remember the Satellite Series Geocoin that I came across in a cache (http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=371023). It was my first experience with a uniquely shaped coin. It was/is a beautifully designed coin.
  6. Trade offers initiated to try and get the coins my recipient is looking for! Things looking good for at least one!
  7. I'm in and two down. Yahoo! 1. Participating 2. Received Name 3. Mission Complete 4. Package Received!
  8. Wow. Thanks for the quick replies, everyone!!
  9. Hi-- My children each received a Red Handed micro geocoin as a gift from a nearby cacher, but I can't seem to get them activated. I used the link on coincodes for the red handed coins but both codes came up as "code not found". Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm not even sure who made these. PLEASE don't give me the advice about inputting various other letters/numbers. I know all the tricks and one of these coins has NO "0" "O" "D" "8" "B" "Z" "2" "I" "1" "J" "L" etc. Thanks.
  10. I've emailed my info to be added to this mission. Thanks!
  11. I don't know how I missed the opportunity to sign up for the Thanksgiving exchange...is it still open? Can someone point me to the thread? I've been saving up some coins. I'll want to be in on the Christmas exchange too...!
  12. Me. Nope, never received a mystery coin. But don't need one either. I've received coins in trade, at times more than two for one, from generous cachers. I'm perfectly content caching, finding TBs and coins and moving them along. I also like to set my own coins free when I get them.
  13. If you're getting the message "cache not registered" then you're entering the coin code in a cache search. Click on "Trackable Items" and enter the coin code where it says "Enter the Geocoin or Travel Bug tracking number:" it should work. If not, check the log for the CACHE (not the coin) and see if anyone's mentioned dropping it or if it's intended as gift for the finder. Good luck!
  14. Actually, there are a couple of different ways to do it. Lenticular is probably the most expensive. (And it's not a hologram, but it is 3D.) There is also the "regular" type of hologram, made with lasers. They tend to have a greenish look to them. You see them around periodically as novelty items (such as eye glasses that have hologram eyes on them and as keychains, etc). What might be the least expensive means is the "foil" hologram. These also have 3D look, more color than a regular hologram, but not quite as much depth. The best example I've seen of this kind are the hologram stamps that the US Post Office issued, pre-printed on #10 envelopes a few years back. I'd certainly pony out some money for a coin like this...! (My other hobby is 3D photography... ) stickerooni
  15. I assume you'll be coming in on Interstate 90. That being the case, you should be sure to stop at the Enterprise Rest Stop, just west of Lewiston, MN for a quick, fun grab. The city of Winona, MN has a number of nice, and moderately quick and easy caches along its lake if you wanted to add some caches to your log...AND...the drive from Winona to LaCrosse on highway 61 (along the Mississippi River) is one of the most beautiful drives in the country (about half an hour). Happy caching!
  16. Hi Brett-- I've got a bunch of unactivated coins that I can donate, and probably can scare up some activated ones to hide, if you wnt. Not sure when the event is planned for, but it might be difficult for the 5littlemonkeys clan to attend this year. We'll have to wait and see. Dan
  17. That is super cool! I think you should create a cache out there (on the space station?) and have it logged. Probably the most miles for any one trip for a geo-traveler!
