  1. Question... how is it that you never retrieve it from a cache? Do you leave it 'virtually' in a cache until your next cache?
  2. I'm dipping a coin a year. This year's coin (http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=859562) has 4867.2 miles -- 113 caches for the year.
  3. Hey! your name is already on a coin...I've got it in my collection (and it's a favorite)! I, too will be awaiting the request for names. Seems like we've all got fairly long IDs, but I think "stickerooni" will work, too.
  4. I'm getting a little nervous ... I mailed mine more than a week ago, but haven't seen that it's been received. It's going to anojther country, but not across the pond. Hopefully I will see that it was received, soon.
  5. 1. Participating - Yes 2. Received Name - Yes 3. Mission Complete 4. Santa Arrived
  6. The Thanksgiving (Harvest Day) Mission was good to me and lots of fun, and I'm looking forward to this adventure as well! 1. Participating -- YUP! 2. Received Name 3. Mission Complete 4. Santa Arrived
  7. 4. PACKAGE RECEIVED -- YES! A conspicuous box, addressed to me and reply-addressed to me was in my mailbox today. Hmmm. What could it be!?! Wow. Some great items here! And SOOO current. I am flabbergasted! I found a Thanksgiving Day card, a business card, two small compasses, a pathtag, a beautiful pin from the October 6 Geocoinfest, and THREE geocoins ... A mosaic coin from the Oct 6 Geocoin Fest (boy did that come fast!), a Midwest Geobach '07 coin, and the TeamEccs21 personal coin. (And a TeamEccs21 coin that's traveling!) Wow wow wow! This is great! I'm sure I'd never otherwise get ahold of ANY of these coins. Thanks TeamEccs21! I am thankful for you, your generosity, CinemaBoxers and this mission, geocaching, geocoins, and my family (not necessarily in that order ).
  8. Been there, found that. It's called Gladware. It's also called a "Virtual Cache" or a "Waymark."
  9. I know that this was in jest, but if you placed 20 caches and 5 of them went missing, and then did 20 more and 5 went missing again, how long would it be before you stopped placing caches? The other thought to this is that I can probably place a cache and trickets for less than I pay for some of the coins I release. STILL... I sent out three new coins last week and will be sending out a passel this month as well. I'm a glutton. I'm determined to have my coins out there to be found and enjoyed!
  10. I have six coins that are verified as lost/stolen (usually placed in a cache and then the next visitor logs that there is no coin). I also have five coins that have been in the hands of a cacher for more than six months and have not responded to email queries. Only one of those cachers hasn't logged into their account during those six months. For me, I am saddened that what I hope is some joy in seeing a coin has been taken from the caching game. But there is also the thought that my $100 or so has been stolen. Why don't I just drop ten dollar bills into a cache. That way it would be a real surprise for the next cacher and at least eliminate the thieves who go specifically to grab a coin. I don't want to send out photocopies and I really don't have the shop set-up to drill holes in my coins, making them less attractive to thieves. So what is the answer? Stop buying coins to send out?
  11. Well I'm just having some lousy luck It looked as though I had a three coin trade going for three coins that my recipient was looking for. My last email from the trader said, "Sounds good. I'll get back to you." And it's been over a week and no reply to three emails. Arrrgh! I'm now frantically trying to find other traders who have what I'm looking for and need what I've got. We'll have to see what I can pull off in a week now...
  12. I had to put my own kids to bed, but congrats and thanks for the cointest!
  13. clarinet/saxophone flute/saxophone trumpet
  14. Thanks for the cointest and CONGRATS to the winners!
  15. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! #1) 4:30pm #2) 7:30pm #3) 52 (hope you're stocked with candy!)
  16. My trade negotiations with someone overseas seems to have stalled. It looked like there was indeed interest for one or more of the coins my secret receiver is looking for, and now there've been no response to my flurry of emails in the last week! I'll hustle and look for some other trades. Sorry to my "unknown" coin receiving person!
  17. Congrats, Intolerable! And nearly Happy Birthday Stellar Jr!
